Quick answer: a free Evolution for central midfielders
What is the FC 27 Regista Realm Evolution, who can use it, and how do I finish it?
Regista Realm is a free Evolution for defensive and central midfielders (CDM / CM). FUTWIZ describes it as shaping a midfielder who controls the tempo from central areas. You play through three levels, and at Level 3 you choose one of two paths. Each level asks for two matches with your Evolution player, so you can finish it in six matches across Squad Battles, Rush, Rivals, Champions or Live Events.

Community reporting says it went live on Saturday 3 October at 18:00 BST, with a window of about 17 days. At launch, community reporting put the start-by deadline at Tuesday 13 October, 18:00 BST and the expiry at Tuesday 20 October, 18:00 BST. Check the Evolution tile to be sure.
Who can go in
The requirements
FUTWIZ lists five requirements for Regista Realm:
- Overall: 80 or lower
- Position: CDM or CM
- Excluded positions: ST, CAM and CB
- PlayStyles: 7 or fewer
- Pace: 83 or lower
Two of these catch people out. The Pace cap rules out quick box-to-box midfielders even when the Overall fits. The PlayStyles cap rules out midfielders who already have plenty of PlayStyles.
Excluded positions
ST, CAM and CB are excluded. EA hasn't said whether one of those as an alternative position also rules a midfielder out, so if yours lists one, check the Evolution screen before you plan around them.
Finding an eligible card
Open the Regista Realm page on FUTWIZ to see the requirements and the eligible-player search together. Then look the card up on FUTWIZ Players and drop it into the Squad Builder to see where it fits. The game's Evolution screen only offers eligible cards from your club, so it's the final check.
Level by level
What counts towards each level
FUTWIZ lists the same objective on every level: play 2 matches in Squad Battles on at least Semi-Pro difficulty, or in Rush, Rivals, Champions or Live Events, using your active Evolution player.
That gives you plenty of choice:
- Squad Battles on Semi-Pro or above is the lowest-pressure route.
- Champions counts, so Finals matches can level the player up while you play them.
- Rivals and Rush count too.
- Live Events count. EA hasn't said whether the Ultimate Gauntlet and the Destined for Glory Exhibition count as Live Events here, so if you're relying on them, check the Evolution's progress after your first match.
Start your Evolution player in every match. EA hasn't said whether they need to stay on the pitch for the whole match, so to be safe, don't sub them off.
Levels 1 and 2
Level 1 brings +5 Overall, along with boosts to Crossing, Short Passing, Curve and Stamina. Level 2 adds Vision, Free Kick Accuracy, Long Passing and Composure, plus +2 Weak Foot. The exact amounts are on the FUTWIZ Regista Realm page, so we won't repeat them here.
The first two levels are mostly about passing, so even before Level 3 you're building a deep-lying playmaker rather than a ball-winner.
Level 3: choose your path
At Level 3, you choose one of two options. Both add Acceleration and Sprint Speed, then go in different directions:
| Option | Focus | Also adds |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Defensive | Acceleration and sprint speed, plus interceptions, defensive awareness and standing tackle | A PlayStyle |
| 2. On the ball | Acceleration and sprint speed, plus agility, balance and ball control | A PlayStyle |
Each Level 3 option also adds a PlayStyle. EA hasn't said which PlayStyle comes with each option. Check the Level 3 screen before you choose, because the PlayStyle may matter more to you than the stat focus.
How to choose: pick the option that matches the job the player does in your team. A CDM who sits in front of the back line and breaks up play suits Option 1. A CM who carries the ball forward or has to escape a press suits Option 2. Compare the finished versions side by side on the FUTWIZ page before you lock it in.
Finishing it in six matches
Six matches is very doable across a couple of sessions. If you're playing Champions Finals, put the Evolution player in your Finals team and let the matches count twice. If you're not, two short Squad Battles sessions on Semi-Pro will do it.
Activate it before the start-by deadline, even if you won't play straight away. FUTWIZ showed about a week left to start it on 4 October.
How this fits Destined for Glory
EA says Destined for Glory brings free Evolutions over two weeks, including one Training Camp Evolution each week, plus an earnable Evolution consumable in Ultimate Gauntlet that gives you an extra repeat of an existing Evolution (Destined for Glory). EA's page doesn't name Regista Realm, so we can't say officially whether it's one of the campaign's free Evolutions. Either way, it's free and live now.
For the Training Camp Evolution and the Gauntlet consumable, see the DFG Week 2 hub. For the new campaign cards, see the Team 2 live hub and the DFG Tracker.
The other free Evolution this week
Wing Specialization is the free Evolution for right-sided wingers (RM / RW). It's for different positions, so check each Evolution's requirements separately before you pick a player. See Wing Specialization explained.
