FC 27 Champions Qualification & Token Store — CQP From Any Division (Standard Launch Guide)
Qualify for FC 27 FUT Champions from any division: how CQP works now Division 6 is gone, and what is worth buying in the Champions Token Store.
Correct as of 24 Sep 2026 (Europe/London)
For Standard / Worldwide buyers unlocking around Friday 25 Sep. Exact CQP thresholds, CQP per match and Token Store prices change, so check them in-game. This page explains EA's rules and the types of Store reward; it isn't a fixed price list.
Quick answer — Champions for Standard buyers (25 Sep)
How do you qualify for FC 27 FUT Champions, and what are Champions Tokens?
The Division 6 requirement is gone. If you earn enough Champions Qualification Points (CQP), you can qualify from any Division (EA Launch Update Pitch Notes, 14 Sep 2026). You can earn CQP in both Division Rivals and Squad Battles. Higher Rivals Divisions earn CQP faster, but your Division no longer decides whether you can qualify.
Champions Finals are still 15 matches. Champions rewards now include more CQP, and EA confirms bigger FUT Coin rewards in Champions than in FC 26. Champions Tokens are back: spend them in the Token Store on rewards including Team of the Week items with an exclusive Red design, Evolutions, and cosmetics such as Celebrations.
We don't give the CQP target or Store prices, so open the Champions tile and Token Store in-game. Worldwide unlock: PC 24 Sep 2026, 23:00 UTC; other platforms 25 Sep, 00:00 regional (Editions & Release Dates).
What to do: earn CQP in Rivals or Squad Battles (no Division 6 requirement), then spend Champions Tokens on Red TOTW, Evolutions or Celebrations. Check the live meter and prices in-game, and use Players DB and Evolutions when you claim.
Div 6 gate gone — qualify with enough CQP
In FC 27, your Division no longer stops you qualifying for Champions. Earn enough CQP and you can qualify. That's the big change for anyone who used to sit below Division 6.
Earn CQP in Rivals and Squad Battles
EA says CQP comes from Division Rivals and Squad Battles, so playing against the AI counts too. Rivals isn't the only way.
What Champions Tokens are for (Store choice)
Champions Tokens are spent in the Champions Token Store, where you choose your rewards. EA's named categories include Red TOTW items, Evolutions and Celebrations. Check stock and costs in the game; they aren't in the Pitch Notes.
Check thresholds and store prices in-game
| Number you might want | Authority |
|---|---|
| CQP needed to enter Finals / Challengers | In-game Champions tile |
| CQP per match / per Division | In-game |
| Token Store item costs / rotation | In-game Token Store |
| Coin / Token rewards by rank | The live game; treat any other table as unconfirmed and subject to change |
How qualification works in FC 27
CQP sources (Rivals + Squad Battles)
| Source | What EA says |
|---|---|
| Division Rivals | Earns CQP towards qualification |
| Squad Battles | Also earns CQP, so playing the AI counts |
| Champions rewards | Include more CQP (helps you qualify again) |
If you're a Standard buyer starting on Friday, you can start earning CQP the day you unlock, even before you climb the Rivals Divisions. Play the modes you enjoy and keep an eye on the CQP meter in Ultimate Team.
Higher Divisions = faster CQP (not a hard gate)
EA says higher Rivals Divisions let you earn CQP faster. Your Division affects how quickly you qualify, not whether you can. If you're in a low Division, expect to play more matches (or add some Squad Battles); you're not locked out.
More CQP in Champions rewards (re-entry loop)
Champions rewards give you more CQP, which helps you qualify again the following weekend. EA hasn't given a figure, so check the reward screen after your Finals.
Where to check your CQP
Open the Champions tile in Ultimate Team and check your CQP progress. Menu names can change with patches. If the game shows a target number, that's the one that counts for your account that week.
Champions Finals structure & coins
15-match Finals returns
EA confirms the 15-match Champions Finals is back. Beyond that, EA hasn't detailed Challengers, weekend Play-Offs or match limits, so check the live tile if you need them.
Bigger coin rewards (EA); check the per-rank table in-game
EA says Champions has bigger FUT Coin rewards than FC 26, and post-match coins are significantly increased across Rivals, Champions and Squad Battles. We don't reprint a coin table by rank, because those can change. If you see one elsewhere, treat it as unconfirmed.
Friday window cadence for new joiners
Worldwide / Standard unlock falls on the usual Friday (25 Sep for most platforms; PC 24 Sep 23:00 UTC), so many Standard buyers will play their first Champions weekend straight away. For Red TOTW, see the TOTW 3 hub. For the promo running that weekend, see the Destined for Glory Team 1 live hub.
Champions Token Store
Red TOTW exclusive design
EA says the Token Store can offer Team of the Week items with an exclusive Red design. That's a different way to get them, with a different look, from packing a standard TOTW. Before you spend Tokens:
- Check that Red TOTW stock is live this week
- Read the Token cost in the Store
- Look the player up on Players and Lowest Prices
For Red TOTW and Community Players, see the TOTW 3 hub.
Evolutions and Celebrations as Store categories
EA lists Evolutions and cosmetics such as Celebrations among the Champions Token Store rewards. Which Evolutions appear changes, so check Evolutions and the live Store. For Evolutions on day one (separate from Token spending), see Intro Evolutions day one.
Caps and refreshes: check in-game
Weekly Token limits, Store refresh timers and stock rotation are shown in the game. EA has only confirmed the types of reward. If the Store is empty, has rotated, or you've hit a limit, go by what the game shows.
Gallery Tokens aren't Champions Tokens
| Currency | What it is for | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Champions Tokens | Champions Token Store: Red TOTW, Evolutions, Celebrations (EA's categories) | This page |
| Gallery Tokens | Gallery Sets, Token Store and Hall of FUT | Gallery Tokens explained |
Don't mix up the two currencies. Gallery and Streamlined SBCs both use Item Score, but the Token wallets are separate.
Standard / worldwide day-one playbook
Unlock → Rivals or Squad Battles for CQP → first Friday window
- Unlock Ultimate Team (PC 24 Sep 23:00 UTC / other platforms 25 Sep 00:00 regional).
- Play Rivals and/or Squad Battles and watch your CQP meter. There's no Division 6 requirement.
- When you qualify, play the 15-match Finals and claim your rewards (including Tokens and more CQP, as shown in-game).
- Only spend Champions Tokens after checking the Red TOTW, Evolution and Celebration stock in the Store.
- Use FUTWIZ tools when you claim, so you're working from live ratings and prices.
Season Points overlap (grinders)
EA says post-match rewards give 15–100 Season Points per eligible match, depending on the result and mode, up to 850 SP a day. So your Champions, Rivals and Squad Battles games also count towards the Season Pass, though EA hasn't published SP by mode. If you're catching up on SP, see Season Pass Level 30.
FUTWIZ tools for spending Red picks and Evolutions
| Tool | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Players DB | Check Red TOTW and special cards before you claim |
| Evolutions | Check Evolution eligibility when the Store offers one |
| Lowest Prices | Compare with buying on the market |
| Squad Builder | Chemistry and Roles++ once the Item is in your Club |
| Gallery | Gallery Tokens are a separate currency |
FAQ
Do I still need Division 6?
No. EA removed the Division 6 requirement for Champions qualification. Earn enough CQP and you can qualify from any Division.
Can I qualify from Squad Battles only?
EA confirms you earn CQP in both Rivals and Squad Battles. Whether Squad Battles alone gets you to the weekly target depends on the live CQP amounts, so check in-game.
What are Red TOTW items?
TOTW items in the Champions Token Store with an exclusive Red design (EA). You get them in a different way from pack TOTW; see TOTW 3.
How many CQP do I need?
Check in-game. EA hasn't published a fixed target in the Launch Update. The Champions tile shows your progress.
Are Champions Tokens the same as Gallery Tokens?
No. Champions Tokens are for the Champions Token Store. Gallery Tokens are for Gallery and Hall of FUT; see Gallery Tokens explained.
When does the Champions weekend start for Standard buyers?
Most Standard / WW buyers unlock on Friday 25 Sep (PC from 24 Sep 23:00 UTC), so their first Champions weekend is the same weekend. Check the Champions schedule in the game.

What to do: think of Champions as two steps. Earn CQP in Rivals or Squad Battles (no Division 6 requirement), then spend Champions Tokens in the Store on Red TOTW, Evolutions or Celebrations. Always check the live CQP meter and Store prices in-game, and use Players DB and Evolutions on FUTWIZ when you claim.
