Quick answer: four September POTMs are live
Which FC 27 September POTM SBCs are live, and what should I check before I submit?
The September Player of the Month SBCs are live, one for each of four leagues. Each league announced its EA SPORTS Player of the Month on its official site this week, and all four SBCs are listed on FUTWIZ SBCs:
| League | Player | Club | SBC on FUTWIZ |
|---|---|---|---|
| LALIGA | Raphinha | FC Barcelona | LALIGA POTM September |
| Bundesliga | Michael Olise | FC Bayern München | Bundesliga POTM September |
| Serie A | Donyell Malen | Roma | Serie A POTM September |
| Premier League | Pascal Groß | Brighton | Premier League POTM September |
FUTWIZ lists each reward as untradeable, and each SBC as a single challenge. When we checked on Saturday morning, all four had roughly three and a half weeks left, which puts the end in late October. FUTWIZ's SBC data gives the end times as Thursday 29 October (Malen 13:00 GMT, Olise 15:00 GMT) and Friday 30 October (Groß 11:00 GMT, Raphinha 16:00 GMT). They're GMT because the UK clocks go back on 25 October.

How these SBCs work
Score target or classic squad?
FC 27 has two kinds of SBC. Classic SBCs ask for a full squad that meets a list of rules. Streamlined SBCs let you put eligible Items towards a target score over several submissions, and each Player Item's Item Score comes from Overall + Rarity + Holographic (EA Launch Update Pitch Notes).
Third-party guides describe the September POTM SBCs as score-based: at launch, according to community reporting, all four are Streamlined SBCs, each with a target score. EA hasn't said so in a public post, so check the tile.
If they are Streamlined, the full explainer is in Streamlined SBCs explained. We won't repeat it here.
What to check on each tile
Read these four things before you put anything in:
- The format: score target or squad rules.
- The requirements: any minimum rating, rarity or other condition. At launch, community reporting lists one condition on each: Player Items rated 45 or higher ("Rating: Min. 45").
- The expiry: the countdown on the tile.
- The reward: FUTWIZ lists it as untradeable, so it's for your club, not for selling.
We haven't printed score targets or ratings, because EA hasn't published them outside the game and third-party numbers can be wrong. The format and the rating requirement above come from community reporting, so give the tile a quick look before you submit.

League by league
LALIGA: Raphinha
LALIGA named Raphinha its EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September, after 7 goals and 2 assists in September. The FC Barcelona captain also won the previous month's award, according to LALIGA. The SBC is LALIGA POTM September on FUTWIZ.
Bundesliga: Michael Olise
The Bundesliga named Olise its Player of the Month for September on 1 October, an award it runs with EA SPORTS. He had three goals and one assist across Bayern's three September league games. The SBC is Bundesliga POTM September on FUTWIZ.
Serie A: Donyell Malen
Lega Serie A gave Malen the EA SPORTS FC Player of the Month for August–September, a combined award covering the first five matchdays, in which he scored six goals in five matches. In Ultimate Team, the SBC is titled Serie A POTM September.
Premier League: Pascal Groß
The Premier League named Groß its September EA SPORTS Player of the Month, his first, after two goals and three assists in September. He's the first Brighton player to win it. FUTWIZ lists the SBC as Premier League POTM September.
Expiry dates
FUTWIZ showed Olise and Malen with about a day less on the clock than Raphinha and Groß, which fits community reporting that the first two arrived a day earlier. That gap matters if you're leaving one until the last weekend. FUTWIZ's SBC data has Malen ending at 13:00 GMT and Olise at 15:00 GMT on Thursday 29 October, and Groß at 11:00 GMT and Raphinha at 16:00 GMT on Friday 30 October.
Ones to Watch: the POTM +1
EA says Ones to Watch items get +1 OVR each time the player receives a Team of the Week, Star Performer or Player of the Month item in FC 27 Ultimate Team (Season 1: Ones to Watch). So if any of these four has an OTW item, the September POTM should count for that player. According to community reporting, none of the four is on the FC 27 Ones to Watch list (21 players when we checked on 3 October). The rules and the tracker are in our Ones to Watch tracker.

FAQ
Are all four September POTM SBCs live?
Yes, when we checked FUTWIZ on Saturday 3 October: Raphinha, Olise, Malen and Groß were all listed. Check FUTWIZ SBCs for anything that's changed.
What is a score SBC in FC 27?
"Score SBC" isn't EA's term. EA's closest match is the Streamlined SBC, where you put eligible Items towards a target score over several submissions. Third-party guides list all four POTM SBCs as Streamlined at launch.
Do these SBCs use chemistry?
Streamlined SBCs don't ask for a full squad with chemistry rules. If a POTM tile turns out to be a classic squad, its rules are on the tile. At launch, community reporting lists no chemistry or squad rules on any of the four, only a minimum player rating of 45 and a target score.
When do they expire?
Late October. FUTWIZ showed about three and a half weeks left on each on 3 October. FUTWIZ's SBC data gives Thursday 29 October (Malen 13:00 GMT, Olise 15:00 GMT) and Friday 30 October (Groß 11:00 GMT, Raphinha 16:00 GMT). The countdown on each tile is the final word.
Why is Malen's award for August and September?
Lega Serie A combined the first two months into one award. The SBC is still called Serie A POTM September in Ultimate Team.
Where should I check live coin costs?
On FUTWIZ SBCs and Lowest Prices. We don't print costs here, because they change all the time.
