FC 27 Strings of Fate Evolution: CM/CDM Upgrade and Who Qualifies

Correct as of 6 Nov 2026, 09:20 GMT (Europe/London)

Quick answer

Strings of Fate is an FC 27 Ultimate Team Evolution aimed at central midfielders. FUTWIZ's Evolution page, captured on the evening of 5 November, describes it as turning a CM or CDM into a puppet master with sweeping passes. The FUTWIZ Evolutions hub returned errors on 6 November, so the numbers below stop at what that page showed. Anything else stays labelled unconfirmed.

What FUTWIZ confirmed on 5 November

From the FUTWIZ Strings of Fate Evolution page, read on 5 November around 19:00 GMT:

• The page title is Strings of Fate EA FC 27 Evolution.
• The flavour text says it turns a CM or CDM into a puppet master who controls the game with sweeping passes.
• The Available Players tab lists eligible cards for the Evolution Task.
• Those listed cards include men's and women's players, many at 81 overall.
• Some listed cards are not natural CM or CDM. Examples on that capture include Nerea Eizagirre (shown as CAM with CM and CDM among her alternatives), Ainhoa Moraza (shown with CDM among her alternatives), Mauro Júnior (LB with CDM among his alternatives), Holdt (LM) and Kulusevski (CM). Open the selection screen in game. If the card is listed, you can build around it.

Requirements and level tables are omitted here. The FUTWIZ Evolutions hub and Evolution detail pages returned HTTP 500 again at about 09:20 GMT on 6 November, so those figures cannot be pulled from FUTWIZ today.

Unconfirmed figures (labelled)

Evening reports on 5 November put the Evolution as free, with an overall finish near 82, three matches and one win required, a start-by near Sunday 15 November and an expiry near Sunday 22 November. Treat every one of those figures as unconfirmed until FUTWIZ or the game shows them again. Do not spend coins or fodder on the strength of those figures alone.

Who shows as eligible

From the same 5 November FUTWIZ capture, these names appeared on the Available Players list (all shown at 81 overall on that page):

• Holdt (LM)
• Miley (CM)
• Aursnes (CM)
• Kulusevski (CM)
• Mauro Júnior (LB)
• Nerea Eizagirre (CAM)
• Ainhoa Moraza (with CDM among the alternatives)

That is a sample from one page view, not a full list. When the FUTWIZ Evolutions pages recover, use the live Available Players list and tap a card to preview the finished version. Price any pick on FUTWIZ FC 27 Players.

Rules people trip on

• A card that is part way through an Evolution cannot go into SBCs.
• Evolutions usually have two clocks: a start-by time and an expiry. Finish the tasks before the expiry.
• Always confirm the card appears in the in-game selection screen.

Ampadu, Ojeda and TOTW 8 guides are omitted from the links here until their production URLs return 200. Road to the Knockouts is expected on Friday 6 November at 18:00 UK, still a leak until EA confirms. The Road to the Knockouts guide will be refreshed after confirmation.
