A how-to for the free False Seven Evolution in EA Sports FC 27: who qualifies, what each level gives and which of the three final paths suits your winger. The full eligible list and a per-card preview are on the FUTWIZ False Seven page.
Quick answer: a free left-sided winger upgrade to 81 OVR with a choice at the end
False Seven is a free Evolution for LM or LW cards rated 80 or lower with 86 Pace or less, 7 PlayStyles or fewer and no PlayStyles+. It takes three levels and three matches. It lifts your card to a cap of 81 OVR, adds First Touch, then lets you pick one final path: Power Shot with shooting, Tiki Taka with passing, or Enforcer with physical stats.
The in-game description: "Develop a creative flank specialist who controls the match tempo and orchestrates attacks directly from the touchline."

Who can go in
Any card that meets all six requirements on the FUTWIZ False Seven page:
- Position: LM or LW
- Excluded position: CDM
- Overall: 80 or lower
- Pace: 86 or lower
- PlayStyles: 7 or fewer
- PlayStyles+: none
Our eligible list also includes cards whose main position is elsewhere but who list LM or LW as an alternative, such as Sinayoko, Donnum and Sullivan. If you plan to use one of those, open the Evolution in game and check the card appears on the selection screen before you commit.
Every level's upgrades
Each upgrade raises a stat to a cap. A card already close to a cap gains less, and a stat already above it stays put.
| Level | Stats raised, with caps | Task |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Overall to 81, Acceleration to 82, Agility to 82, Reactions to 81, Dribbling to 82 | Play 1 match |
| 2 | First Touch PlayStyle (cap of 3), Sprint Speed to 82, Balance to 81, Ball Control to 82, Composure to 80 | Play 1 match |
| 3 | Pick one path (below) | Play 1 match |
Every task counts in Squad Battles on Semi-Pro or above, or in Rush, Rivals, Champions and Live Events, as long as the Evo player is in your active line-up.
At Level 3 you choose one of three paths:
| Path | PlayStyle | Stats raised, with caps |
|---|---|---|
| Option 1: shooting | Power Shot | Positioning to 80, Finishing to 81, Shot Power to 80, Long Shots to 79, Volleys to 79 |
| Option 2: passing | Tiki Taka | Vision to 81, Crossing to 82, FK Acc. to 81, Short Passing to 82, Long Passing to 80 |
| Option 3: physical | Enforcer | Heading Acc. to 80, Jumping to 80, Stamina to 81, Strength to 80, Aggression to 80 |
Which Level 3 path to pick
Go by how you use the player, not by which option looks biggest.
- Power Shot suits an inside forward. If your left winger cuts in onto the right foot and shoots, take the finishing and shot power.
- Tiki Taka suits a creator who stays wide. If they hold the touchline, cross and recycle the ball, the passing path fits.
- Enforcer suits a winger who has to win duels. If yours gets bullied off the ball or you want a target at the back post, take the strength and heading.
Not sure? Look at the card's weakest area. The path that fixes it usually gives the biggest real gain. Preview each option per card on the FUTWIZ False Seven page, then test the result in the FUTWIZ Squad Builder.
As for which card to use, the best picks are LM or LW cards at 80 or below with Pace of 86 or less and no PlayStyles+, and low dribbling and agility, because those stats get the largest Level 1 boosts. Every card from 75 to 80 finishes at 81, so a higher-rated card gains fewer Overall points but may have better base stats elsewhere.
False Seven landed in the same week as Ultimate Scream Team 2 and the free Halloween Evolutions Witching Hour and Rise From the Grave.
Evolution rules that catch people out
- A card in an Evolution that is still in progress can't be used in Squad Building Challenges.
- You must start False Seven before the start-by time, then finish every level before it expires.
- Treat the final path as your one choice for this Evolution, and preview it before you play the match.
- The Evo player has to be in your starting line-up for matches to count.
