When does Road to the Knockouts start in FC 27?
EA has not confirmed a date. The official FC 27 roadmap places UEFA Road to the Knockouts in Season 2, alongside Ultimate Scream, Hall of FUT: Unleashed and Black Friday: Thunderstruck. Season 2 runs from 22 October to 3 December 2026, so the promo should land inside that window.
Ultimate Scream was billed by EA as a two week event, which puts its end around Friday 6 November. Community reporting expects Road to the Knockouts to replace it that day at 18:00 GMT, the usual Friday launch slot. Champions League Matchday 4 takes place on 3 and 4 November, and in previous games EA has lined up this promo with the European fixture calendar. Treat Friday 6 November as the likely date, not a confirmed one. We will update this page as soon as EA announces it.
How Road to the Knockouts worked in previous games
In previous games, Road to the Knockouts cards were dynamic items for players at clubs competing in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, with women's players included through the UEFA Women's Champions League. Cards typically gained upgrades when their club won or drew league phase matches, and could earn a further boost if the club reached the knockout rounds.
EA has not yet published the FC 27 upgrade path, so the exact rules, upgrade sizes and qualifying matches could change. Don't spend big on any card purely for upgrade potential until the official rules are out.
