FC 27 Ones We Watched Explained — FUT 18/19/20 Live Events, Exhibition & Retro EVOs
FC 27 Ones We Watched explained: FUT 18, 19 and 20 Live Events, Exhibition and Retro Evos, and what Standard players should grind before 22 Oct.
Correct as of 26 Sep 2026 (Europe/London)
Your guide to Season 1 Live Events if you joined at worldwide launch or on Standard. For stage tables, coin totals and Exhibition player names, use the Campaign Hub or Live Events screen; we don't guess them here. Going for free Savinho? See the OTW Savinho Ones We Watched path.
Quick answer — Season 1 Live Events for WW joiners
What is Ones We Watched in FC 27, and what Live Events should Standard players grind after worldwide launch?
Ones We Watched is Season 1’s Single Player Live Event series, celebrating Ones to Watch from FUT 18, FUT 19 and FUT 20. EA’s Season 1 page (16 Sep 2026) and Launch Update Pitch Notes (14 Sep 2026) describe it the same way. You choose the difficulty for the opening stage and play a selection of clubs from around the world. Then you face higher-rated Ones We Watched–inspired AI squads and tougher squad-building requirements as you go.
Season 1: Ones to Watch runs 17 September 2026 – 22 October 2026. Separately, the Ones to Watch Online Exhibition rewards Chemistry Styles, Packs and a Ones to Watch player, with extra rewards for weekly plays through Season 1. Retro Cosmetic Evolutions inspired by those years are on the Season Ladder and in the Evolution Store.
This isn't the free Savinho Completionist path. That objective chain has its own guide (linked below). Use this page for the full Live Events picture after the 25 Sep worldwide unlock.
What to do: clear the single-player stages you can still finish, get your Exhibition weekly plays in, and build Season Points towards Season Pass Level 30. Follow the promo players on the OTW tracker and Wins to Watch.
Ones We Watched = FUT 18/19/20 single-player series (EA)
| Piece | What EA confirms |
|---|---|
| Mode type | Single Player Live Event series |
| Theme | Ones to Watch nostalgia from FUT 18 / 19 / 20 |
| Opening | Choose difficulty; play a selection of clubs |
| Later stages | Higher-rated AI squads and harder squad-building requirements |
EA doesn't give a stage count, so open the Live Events tile and play what's still available for your Club.
Season window 17 Sep–22 Oct
| Milestone | Timing (EA) |
|---|---|
| Season 1: Ones to Watch | 17 Sep 2026 – 22 Oct 2026 |
| Worldwide unlock (context) | PC 24 Sep 23:00 UTC; other platforms 25 Sep 00:00 regional |
| Destined for Glory start | 25 Sep (the Campaign running alongside) |
If you bought Standard on or after 25 Sep, you're still inside the Season 1 window until 22 Oct. That's enough time to finish the single-player stages and Exhibition weekly plays if you make them a priority.
Not the free Savinho path
The free OTW Savinho objective path is one Completionist grind within these Live Events. The exact match requirements, league rules and coin rewards are on that guide and in live Objectives, so we don't repeat them here.

Single Player — Ones We Watched stages
Difficulty choice + progressive AI / squad requirements (EA)
EA keeps it broad: pick a difficulty for the opener, play clubs from around the world, then move on to higher-rated Ones We Watched–inspired AI and more demanding squad-building requirements.
That's all EA has confirmed. Anything that claims a fixed “X stages / Y OVR gate / Z coins” isn't from EA's Pitch Notes, so check it in-game first.
Single Player Live Events sit alongside Squad Battles for players who prefer playing against the AI (Launch Update). Online and Single Player Live Events also rotate through the Season, themed to the current Campaign, so the tiles can change after you clear a set.
Check the live stage table in the Campaign Hub
Watch out (community and third-party guides, not EA): some objective lists name stages, league or nation squad rules, match totals and coin rewards for the Ones We Watched Completionist path. They're a useful starting checklist, but only once you've checked them in the Campaign Hub / Live Events screen.
In-game, open Live Events, then Ones We Watched, and note the stages left, entry requirements and rewards for your Club. If you need to look up a card, use Objectives or Players.
Online Exhibition — weekly Ones to Watch plays
EA reward types (Chem Styles, Packs, OTW player + weekly plays)
The Ones to Watch Online Exhibition is a separate track from the single-player series. EA says the rewards include:
- Chemistry Styles
- Packs
- A Ones to Watch player
- Extra rewards for weekly plays through Season 1
That's everything EA lists. We don't guess pack names, Chemistry Style lists or Exhibition player OVRs.
Watch out (community trackers, not EA): the named Exhibition reward players change on third-party trackers. Check the live tile before you chase a name.
How this differs from the SP series
| Track | Play style | What EA says |
|---|---|---|
| Ones We Watched | Single Player Live Event ladder | FUT 18/19/20 nostalgia; tougher AI and squad requirements as you go |
| Online Exhibition | Online Exhibition + weekly plays | Chemistry Styles, Packs, an OTW player and weekly extras all season |
Play the single-player series when you want progress against the AI towards Completionist rewards. Play Exhibition when you want the weekly online rewards and Season 1 play bonuses.
Retro cosmetic Evolutions
Season Ladder + Evolution Store (EA)
From the Launch Update: Retro Cosmetic Evolutions inspired by FUT 18, 19 and 20 are available through the Season Ladder and Evolution Store. They're cosmetic, nostalgia Evolutions tied to the Season 1 theme, and separate from the Intro Evolutions.
Watch out: third-party Evolution trackers often line up retro Evolution expiry with the end of Season 1 (~22 Oct). Go by the expiry dates in the in-game Evolution Store.
FUTWIZ Evolutions and Players DB
| Tool | Use |
|---|---|
| Evolutions | Live Evolution requirements and paths |
| Players DB | Card pages for OTW / EVO targets |
| Season Pass L30 | Season Points and Pass rewards |
| SBCs | Other things to work on alongside |
Day-after-WW priority order
Finish SP stages you can → Exhibition weekly → Season Pass SP
If you joined at worldwide launch or on Standard (26 Sep):
- Ones We Watched (single player): clear the stages you can still enter before the requirements get too tough.
- Online Exhibition weekly plays: collect the Season 1 weekly extras while the tile is live.
- Season Points: every eligible match counts towards the Pass (L30 guide).
- Free Savinho path: if you haven't finished it, fit it in alongside the single-player stages (Savinho path).
Adjacent: DFG live hub + Combined Rarities Gallery
Destined for Glory started on 25 Sep. Ultimate Gauntlet returns in Week 2 of Destined for Glory (two Rounds in Season 1). It's a separate Live Event, and we don't guess its rewards or exact start time here.
