When does FC 27 Future Stars Team 2 come out, and who's in it?
Community reporting says Future Stars Team 2 is due on Friday 16 October, replacing Team 1 in packs, with more players coming through SBCs and objectives. Who: a leak lists 15 pack players, with Kobbie Mainoo and Franco Mastantuono the headline names. EA hasn't confirmed any of them, and we haven't printed ratings.

Does Team 1 leave packs?
Probably on Friday. Community reporting says Team 1 stays in packs until Team 2 arrives on 16 October. If you're still chasing a Team 1 card from packs, treat Friday as your last day. Community reporting puts the swap at 18:00 BST, so don't leave it to the evening. Team 1 cards you already own keep tracking towards their upgrades either way (EA).
Future Stars Team 2 players (leaks, unconfirmed)

The same 15 names are circulating across community reporting, with a couple of spelling slips along the way. Last time, the Team 1 pack leak matched the squad that landed, while the SBC list was patchier. That's no guarantee for Team 2, so treat each name as a maybe until 18:00 on Friday.
SBC and objective players

Community reporting says Team 2 also brings extra players through SBCs and objectives, and suggests Johan Manzambi and Julio César Enciso headline that side. How Team 2 cards upgrade (in brief)
The full rules are in Future Stars upgrades explained. In short, this is how EA describes Future Stars items:
- Most leagues: 4 league starts gives +1 OVR (up to 86) and 8 starts another +1 OVR (up to 87).
- Attackers and midfielders: a PlayStyle+ at 7 goals plus assists, 5★ weak foot at 10.
- Defenders, keepers and CDMs: the same at 4 and 7 clean sheets.
- NWSL, MLS, Liga MX and LPF: lower targets (2 and 3 starts; 2 and 4 goals plus assists, or 2 and 3 clean sheets).
- What counts: domestic league matches only. Tracking started on 9 October, and the upgrades go live on 3 February 2027.
EA's article describes Future Stars Player Items as a whole rather than Team 1 alone, so we expect Team 2 to use the same tables. [CONFIRM: that Team 2 uses the same upgrade tables, once EA's Team 2 post is up.]

PlayStyle+ Lab and the first UEFA Star Performers
EA says the PlayStyle Lab "levels up" in Future Stars Week 2 with a PlayStyle+ Lab, alongside the first UEFA Star Performers eligible for PlayStyle+ upgrades from 17 October. If you've got UCL or UWCL cards you're hoping to upgrade, Saturday is the day to check. EA hasn't published how the Lab works yet, so we won't guess at the costs or the rules.
Ultimate Gauntlet 2 and Flash Rush
EA confirms the second Ultimate Gauntlet of FC 27 and a new Flash Rush event for Week 2. FUTWIZ lists Future Stars Academy I, II and III today. Community reporting says Academy IV lands on Friday 16 October and takes your player up to 85. All four rewards are untradeable (FUTWIZ). We don't print SBC costs; the cheapest solutions are on FUTWIZ SBCs. Espí is the one that runs out around Team 2's arrival, so if you want him, do him first. Espart outlasts Friday, so you can wait and see what Team 2's SBCs ask for before you commit.
Keep a spread of untradeable fodder
EA has promised more Player and Puzzle SBCs through Future Stars, and community reporting says Team 2 adds more players via SBCs. So:
- Burn fodder on a Future Stars SBC if you actually want that player.
- Save it if you're only doing an SBC "because it's there".

Packs: open them after the swap if you want a Team 2 chance
If you're sitting on packs and want a shot at a Team 2 card, the logical move is to wait until Team 2 is in packs on Friday evening. If you'd rather have a Team 1 chance, open before the swap. We don't publish pack odds, so don't open more than you're happy to lose either way.
