Highest rated cards overall
Including special items, the highest rated cards in the database right now are ICONs, with Pelé and Maradona at 95. EA confirmed that base ICONs start at 88 in FC 27. Promo cards from Ultimate Scream and Team of the Week push some players higher. See FC 27 TOTW for the latest in-form items.
Career Mode ratings and potential
Career Mode uses each player's base rating, so the top overall names above are also the highest rated players in Career Mode. For potential, contract details and growth, use our Career Mode players database, and our FC 27 wonderkids list for the best young men's and women's players with high potential.
Ultimate Team vs Career Mode ratings
In Ultimate Team, special cards such as Team of the Week, promo items and Evolutions carry their own higher ratings, while the base gold card keeps the player's standard rating. Career Mode only uses the base rating, which then rises or falls through player growth during your save.
