How the upgrades work (EA-confirmed)
EA's 25 Sep Destined for Glory page sets out the milestones by position. Goals and assists come from Opta data and are added together: 3 goals and 3 assists counts as 6.
Attackers and attacking or wide midfielders
CM, CAM, LW, LM, RW, RM, ST: combined domestic league goals + assists.

Defenders and defensive midfielders
RB, LB, CB, CDM: domestic league clean sheets. A clean sheet counts if the player's team keeps one and the player started or came off the bench in that match.

The rules that catch people out
- Domestic league only. EA counts league performances in the 2026/27 domestic season. Cups and European games aren't mentioned, so don't count on them.
- Transfers end it. If a DFG player leaves their current club, on a transfer or a loan, they stop being eligible for upgrades.
- It started on 25 Sep. League games before then don't count.
- The ladder tops out. The last milestone is 20 goals plus assists, or 10 clean sheets. EA lists no upgrades beyond that.

EA's Launch Update named the first Destined for Glory items, and EA's 25 Sep page added Pernille Harder:

A note on spelling: EA prints "Matheus Fernandes". Tottenham Hotspur spells it "Mateus". Go by the name on the in-game card.
EA hasn't published the full 15 for either week, or any OVRs. For the full squads and card details, use FUTWIZ Players and the game itself. We don't copy OVRs or prices from leak lists.
What "Team 1" and "Team 2" mean
EA doesn't use these names. "Team 1" is the community's name for the first weekly 15-player squad (from 25 Sep), and "Team 2" for the second (from 2 Oct). For the Team 2 names, see the Team 2 prep guide. Treat any name as unconfirmed until it's in packs.
Team 1 leaving packs doesn't end its upgrades. Third-party calendars put the Team 2 swap, when Team 1 leaves packs, at around 18:00 BST on 2 Oct. That time isn't from EA, so check the in-game timer. Team 1 cards you already own keep upgrading all season.
How to earn DFG cards and rewards
EA's 25 Sep page confirms these routes:
- DFG Exhibition: a long-running Live Event with 10 daily attempts. Objectives include playing three matches with a DFG item in your squad.
- Ultimate Gauntlet (week 2): FC 27's first Gauntlet, played over two rounds with 10 daily attempts. Play and win objectives earn rewards, including an Evolution consumable that repeats an existing Evolution. More detail in our Week 2 guide.
- Rush Events: two during the campaign, including a themed Flash Rush in week 2.
- Free Evolutions over the two weeks, including one Training Camp Evolution each week. Check FUTWIZ Evolutions for the live list and eligibility.
- DFG Badges: Regular and Premium cosmetic Badges from the Event objective group.
Packs and the Transfer Market are the other routes, as with any Campaign. EA hasn't published DFG pack odds, and we don't give any. For any DFG SBCs, use FUTWIZ SBCs for solutions and Lowest Prices for fodder. Check every requirement in-game before you grind or spend.

- Gallery: the Season 1 (Combined Rarities) Set brings together Ones to Watch, Destined for Glory and Future Stars items (EA).
- Holographics: from TOTW 1, eligible Campaign items in packs can appear as Regular (87 and below) or Pristine (88 and above). Packs and Player Picks that guarantee specific items don't include Holographics (EA). EA hasn't published DFG Holographic odds.
What to do now
- Own a DFG card? Check its progress on the FUTWIZ DFG Tracker after each league weekend. If the player moves clubs, expect the upgrades to stop.
- Buying one? Remember that it only upgrades from league games at its current club. Plan Roles++ and chemistry in Squad Builder before you spend.
- Grinding week 2? The Gauntlet and the Exhibition both give you 10 attempts a day (EA), so play a few each day rather than saving them up. Check the objective timers in-game.
- Don't panic-buy because of a leaked name or a guessed price. Wait until the card is in packs and on FUTWIZ.

No. DFG items upgrade from domestic league performances across the whole 2026/27 season (EA). Only the packs, SBCs and objectives end.
