Quick answer — Marquee Matchups, week of 24 September

What is the FC 27 Marquee Matchups SBC for the week of 24 September, what does it reward, and when does it expire?

Marquee Matchups is a weekly, once-only Traditional Challenge SBC group based on real fixtures. Community reports for the 24 Sep international set list four parts: Italy v Belgium, Norway v Portugal, Netherlands v Germany and England v Spain, with a reported expiry of Thursday 1 October 2026 at 18:00 UTC (19:00 UK time). The pack rewards are said to be tradeable, and the group prize is usually described as a Large Gold Players Pack with two guaranteed 82+ players. Check the fixture names, requirements, pack descriptions, once-only label and expiry timer on the SBC screen in-game before you submit. EA hadn't published Pitch Notes for this set as of 28 September.

This guide covers the 24 September Marquee Matchups set only. For Streamlined scoring and SBCs in general, see Streamlined SBCs & Item Score and the SBC solutions hub.

What to do: open Live SBCs, find the Marquee Matchups group, then use FUTWIZ SBCs and Lowest Prices, starting with fodder from your club. We don't give coin costs or a fixed “cheapest XI”.

Timers can change. If the game shows a different time or different fixtures, go by the game.

Why it's worth doing early (tradeable packs, community-reported)

Early on, clubs rely on tradeable weekly packs to raise coins on the Transfer Market. Community reports say this set's rewards are tradeable, which fits EA's wider promise of tradeable pack rewards at launch (Launch Update Pitch Notes). We don't give walkout odds or pack values.

Streamlined SBC maths: see the SBC hub

Marquee Matchups is still a Traditional Challenge (full squad requirements for each part), with no Item Score target.

Reported challenges (check in-game)

Italy and Belgium to England and Spain (community-reported)

Check in-game (community reports, not EA): other guides covering the 24 Sep international set usually list these four parts: Italy v Belgium, Norway v Portugal, Netherlands v Germany, England v Spain. They also list requirements (nation, club, league, chemistry, rating), but don't plan around them until the SBC in-game matches. We don't give chemistry numbers or missing requirements here.

As of 28 September, some other SBC sites showed different fixture names and pack labels. That could be a mismatch or a different set, so don't mix the two lists. Go by the SBC name in-game.

Rewards — what you get for finishing the set

Tradeable packs (community-reported; check the names)

Check in-game (community reports, not EA): other sites describe tradeable pack rewards for each part, with the group prize usually described as a Large Gold Players Pack with two guaranteed 82+ players. The name may differ in the game (some sites say Large, others Jumbo). Read the pack description on the SBC screen before you consider the set done.

We don't give pack odds, walkout rates or “expected value”.

The group prize (no odds given)

Only go for the group pack if your club can spare fodder for every part. Tradeable packs help early on, but the pack is still luck, not a guaranteed upgrade. Look up what you pack on Players DB after you open it.

Other SBCs may want the same cards: the TOTW Upgrade SBC may also need high-rated untradeables, so decide where they're best used before you put them all into Marquee Matchups.

Cheap completion tips

Club-first untradeables

Whether it's worth it depends on what's in your club:

  • Worth it: you already have untradeable nation and league fodder that fits the requirements, and you can finish before the reported Thursday 1 October, 19:00 UK expiry.
  • Probably not: you'd have to buy every part on the Transfer Market. Other sites' “completion cost” figures are only market estimates, and we don't give one.

Build each part from your club first. Only use Lowest Prices for the gaps the card still shows in red.

When to skip a segment vs bank the group pack

Your clubWhat to do
Lots of untradeables for most partsCheck the SBC in-game, then work towards the group pack if there's time before the 1 Oct expiry
One part needs expensive tradeable buysSkip that part if the group prize isn't worth the coins
The fixture names in the game are different from this articleStop, and follow the names in-game, not an old list
Small club, or every high-rated card is a starterWait, or do some parts; don't buy everything for a once-only SBC

FAQ

When does Marquee Matchups expire?

Reported as Thursday 1 October 2026, 18:00 UTC (19:00 UK time). Check the timer on the SBC before you leave it late.

Is it repeatable?

Reported as once-only. Check the SBC card. If it shows a repeat counter or refresh, go by the game rather than other sites.

Why do some guides show different fixtures?

Other SBC sites can be out of date or show a different set. As of 28 September, at least one listed different fixtures and packs from the Italy-to-England list most sites give. Go by the game. If your SBC is different from this page, the game is right, so plan around that.
