How FC Pro Open qualifying works
The Open Ladder in Ultimate Team
EA ran the FC Pro Open Ladder inside Ultimate Team, so there was no outside website to sign up on. Players who reached Division 5 or above in Division Rivals during the Ladder could open it from the FC Pro tab in the Ultimate Team Play menu. It was open 24 hours a day for 13 days. Everyone started unranked, and qualification went on each player's highest peak skill rating at any point in the window.
Only PlayStation 5 players can advance to the Regional Qualifiers. EA says PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players were both eligible for the in-game rewards.
How many qualify from your region
UK players are in Europe West (Official Rules, Appendix B). Here's how many players each region sends on (EA):
| Region | To Regional Qualifiers | To Global Qualifier |
|---|---|---|
| Africa | 128 | 4 |
| Asia North | 32 | 2 |
| Asia South | 32 | 2 |
| Europe West | 256 | 12 |
| Europe East | 256 | 12 |
| LATAM North | 64 | 2 |
| LATAM South | 256 | 8 |
| Middle East | 256 | 6 |
| North America | 64 | 2 |
| Oceania | 32 | 2 |
| Total | 1,376 | 52 |
Bahrain, Jordan, Libya and Oman are new to FC Pro this season, and all four are in the Middle East region.
The Regional Qualifier format
Each Regional Qualifier runs over two days on Battlefy. Day 1 is a Swiss stage, and the best performers go into a double-elimination bracket on Day 2. Every match is a single game, with extra time and penalties if it's level. Registration closes before the event starts, and EA posts exact times on the FC Pro Tournament Site. [CONFIRM: start times per region on the Tournament Site before quoting any.]
What "The Top 500: FC Pro Open Ladder" objective is
EA says the top 500 players in each region of the Ladder earn an FC Pro Open in-game reward. Community reporting says a matching objective, The Top 500: FC Pro Open Ladder, appeared after the 7 October content drop, showing an FC Pro Open Trophy badge as its reward, with its tasks marked as not released yet. Check the Objectives menu in-game; we don't know yet when it will pay out. [CONFIRM IN GAME: Top 500 objective tasks and reward timing.]
The Global Qualifier (London, 5–7 November)
The Global Qualifier is an in-person event in London with 64 players: the 52 Regional qualifiers plus 12 invited players who finished 5th to 16th in last season's FC Pro Open.
- FC Pro Draft returns: every player builds and submits a squad within set restrictions before the event.
- It starts with a five-round Swiss stage for all 64.
- The top 32 go into four eight-player double-elimination brackets over the last two days.
- The top four from each bracket (16 players) reach the FC Pro Open.
EA says there's no separate Last Chance Qualifier for the Global Qualifier this season.
The FC Pro Open (30 November – 25 January)
24 players take part: the 16 Global Qualifier finishers and 8 invited players from the top of last season's Open and World Championship. They're drawn into four groups for a double round-robin.
- 1st in each group goes straight to the Top 8 and earns a World Championship seat.
- 2nd and 3rd go into the Finals.
- The Finals are single elimination, and every quarter-finalist earns a World Championship invitation.
Group matchdays run from Monday 30 November 2026 to Monday 18 January 2027, and the Finals are on Monday 25 January 2027.
How to get in next: FC Pro Open Cups
Dates for Cups 1–3 (EA)
| Open Cup | Ladder | Playoffs |
|---|---|---|
| Open Cup 1 | 29 Oct – 3 Nov 2026 | 21–22 Nov 2026 |
| Open Cup 2 | 15–20 Dec 2026 | 2–3 Jan 2027 |
| Open Cup 3 | 11–16 Jan 2027 | 6–7 Feb 2027 |
You sign up in-game, the same way as the Open Ladder. Open Cup 1's ladder is open 24 hours a day. For Cups 2 and 3, Europe West plays in a daily window of 6pm to 10pm GMT.
Each region sends the same numbers to the Playoffs as the Ladder did (Europe West: 256). Playoffs are a two-day event: a Swiss stage on Day 1, then a single-elimination bracket on Day 2. Top finishers earn Circuit Points, and after all three Cups the highest points earners in each region qualify for the World Championship Play-Ins: 28 places, 6 of them in Europe West.
EA's rules set Division 5 in Rivals by 3 October as the bar for the FC Pro Open, but they don't say whether the same bar applies to Open Cups. [CONFIRM: Open Cup Division requirement in the Event Rules.]
Registration checklist (Official Rules)
To compete, EA's rules say you need to:
- be a legal resident of an eligible country, and be at least 16 (older in some countries: 21 in Bahrain; 18 in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Oman and South Korea; 17 in Japan). If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must consent for you.
- have FC 27 on PS5, with your PlayStation Network Online ID connected to your EA Account
- turn on Two-Factor Authentication on your EA Account
- have valid Battlefy and Discord accounts
- accept the Official Rules in the FC Pro Live Events tab in Ultimate Team, and register for each event separately on the Tournament Site before its deadline
Getting your Rivals squad ready
The Open Cups are played in Ultimate Team, so a strong Rivals squad is the place to start. Plan it in the FUTWIZ Squad Builder and check cards on FUTWIZ Players. For the Champions side of the grind, see Champions qualification and the Token Store and the Champions Finals playbook.
