After doing the hardest one yet with La Liga, let’s do Ligue 1!
It’s kinda similar to BBVA TOTS in a way that there will be more players from 4 teams, than from others.
PSG, Monaco, Lyon and Marseille are clearly above everyone in the league.
There are gonna be some amazing TOTS in the likes of Neymar, Fekir and others.
So let’s start.
Starting off with Goalkeepers, as I always do.
Anthony Lopes from Lyon is my number 1 pick. There are not a lot of great GKs this season in a Ligue 1, because everyone just scoring for fun. Lopes is kinda great in a good Lyon side with the average defence.
2nd choice is Tomas Koubek from Stade Rennais. Statistically, he’s the best goalkeeper in the league. Rennais on the 5th place currently in the league and I think we can count it as a success. There are few teams that conceded fewer goals than Rennais: PSG, Monaco, Nantes and Montpellier- but still, Koubek is having an amazing season.
Defenders are tough, because of similar reasons as Goalkeepers.
Starting with Left-back. Jorge having a fantastic year in Monaco. He’s currently on 19 games but still, for Ligue 1 it might be enough. 1 goal and 2 assists. But in terms of defending abilities are just amazing. Probably next big transfer from Monaco
Dani Alves. Again. Yeah. 20 games in Ligue 1 with 1 goal and 6 assists and overall amazing rating in the league. I really don’t mind him getting TOTS, but bare in mind that it’s gonna be worse that TOTY.
Sidibe is another defender from Monaco. Better offensive stats that Alves: 2 goals and 6 assists. Overall another strong season from a French right-back, who becomes the best in the country.
Leo Dubois is another choice for the Right-Back position, but I don’t think he’ll be included over those 2. But he deserves it in a strong Nantes side, coached by Claudio Ranieri.
First CB is Nordi Mukiele. 2nd strongest defence in the league- Montpellier performs really well- and Nordi is a strong candidate for TOTS. Overall high rating, so I expect him to be in TOTS.
Back to Monaco: Kamil Glik. 2nd year in a row really strong year. 3 goals + 3 assists. Another great year. The leader of Monaco defence and even tho they won’t be champions this year Glik deserves to be TOTS.
Thiago Silva is a captain of PSG and one of the better players to get TOTS in this league. Only 1 goal, but overall strong performance, also he’s favoured by EA, so I expect him to be in TOTS too.
Finished with Defenders, we go on to Midfielders. Many options, but many strong options and players.
Nabil Fekir. Best player in the league not from PSG. Fekir is having an exceptional season with 16 goals and 6 assists. Carrying Lyon many times this season, after Lacazette left the club. Yeah, they have a replacement in Mariano but we’ll talk about him later. Fekir is clearly TOTS and gonna be an amazing one.
Houssem Aouar is a new star of Lyon. Amazing season from a youngster. 5 goals and 3 assists from CM position and already many praises from coaches. Just a great player overall.
Fabinho is another locked TOTS. 6 goals and 3 assists from CDM position. 2nd year strong in Monaco as CDM. Probably gonna leave in the summer to a “bigger” club. But this year he’s just amazing.
Benjamin Andre is a choice from Rennais. The 2nd player from Rennais in this TOTS. A strong season from a French midfielder with 3+ 3 and 5 MOTMs in the league. Not a shining star of the league, but a really good player.
Luiz Gustavo. Having a rennesaince in OM. Amazing season from a Brazilian player. Refreshed his career. Scored 5 goals and assisted 1 time this season and gonna be one amazing TOTS!
Dimitry Payet is another midfielder from OM. 4 goals and 8 assists, just great season from Payet. He came back strong after a rough start.
Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verrati are both TOTS level performers. I’m leaning towards Rabiot more because he’s just more interesting player this season and also has 1 goal and 5 assists to his name.
Both can get them, so yeah, I just want Rabiot a bit more.
Done with Midfielders, not let’s choose our wingers
Neymar is 1st choice. Most obvious one, I won’t even talk much about him, just you know everything about him already. 20 games, 19 goals, 13 assists.
2nd choice Florian Thauvin. Another amazing season from French winger. 16 goals and 10 assists in 29 games. That’s more than enough to be TOTS. Again- not many words about him, we all know that he’s getting TOTS
Malcom is also getting TOTS. 8 goals, 6 assists, many transfer rumours. He’s performing greatly in Bordeaux. And also he’s getting an amazing TOTS.
Angel Di Maria has a chance of TOTS. Dunno if it’s likely, but he’s on 21 games played with 9 goals and 6 assists. He plays on RW position and also Kylian Mbappe plays there. Mbappe getting an amazing TOTS card with 13 goals and 8 assists to his name.
The last part is Strikers.
Edinson Cavani is getting TOTS with 24 goals and 4 assists. Amazing season from Uruguayan, even after Neymar came to play for PSG. A leader in attack for PSG.
Radamel Falcao hard-carrying Monaco attack with 17 goals this season. He’s not that old and everything, so he can perform for a few more years.
Mariano from Lyon. Amazing transfer for Lyon. 16 goals and 4 assists and overall amazing performance from RM reject. I know that they’re missing him because Benzema not performing well enough and Mariano could help them.
And the last pick is probably Mario Balotelli. 14 goals in 19 games and he became really amazing transfer for Nice. He’s trying his best and performing great. Amazing in terms of FIFA. A card will be amazing.
So, again more than 23 players, around 26 or more. Yeah, there are some 50\50 picks. Yeah, I expect few different opinions in my mentions, but I’ll try to reply to everyone, and explain myself.
