Let’s discuss La Liga POTM for June.
Restart month of La Liga was kinda exciting, especially at the top of the table. Barcelona and Real Madrid had a mixed month.
Real Madrid won every game of the month and now sitting at first, Barcelona are a bit behind them with drawing 2 games.
But! We’re talking about POTMs, so individual performances matter.
From Real I could’ve had 2 candidates that were equally good, from Barcelona only 1 and from Atletico Madrid one too.
Let’s start.
Sergio Ramos
My 1st candidate for POTM. Sergio Ramos had an insane month for a defender. He scored a penalty, goal from open play and also scored a great free-kick. Also Real was solid at the back and POTM Ramos would’ve been cool, even at this stage of the year for FUT.
Chances of POTM: 33%
Tips for investing:
His rating would be 93, and it’d be quite expensive SBC in my eyes. As POTMs don’t have any specific requirements this year, I just say – get some fodder when it drops during rewards.
Estimated Cost: 300-400k. 93 rated, end game CB on the level of his SBC card, but at central position. Should’ve been pretty expensive in my opinion.
Saul is my 2nd candidate from La Liga. Saul had a very decent month for Atletico and Atletico overall only dropped points in a game vs Barca, they are sitting at 3rd place and it’s a good progress. They were 6th before quarantine, but climbed and Saul helped them a lot with 3 goals and as usual hard work rate
Chances of POTM: 17%
Tips for investing:
Nothing to see here, he’d be 89 rated card and really cheap.
Estimated cost: 50-70k? He’d be on the level of his Headliner card, so it’d be quite cheap SBC to complete and not many people would complete him unless it’s a cheap fodder.
Leo Messi is my 3rd candidate. Even tho Barca had a hard month with 2 draws, Messi dropped an insane performance as usual he does. 4 goals, 5 assists, MOTM in every game. Average rating is sky high at 9.0. 98 Messi SBC to end the year?
Estimated cost: 1.5 mill? I guess that’s somewhat realistic value at this stage of the game for 98 rated Messi. Yes, he wouldn’t be on par with TOTS or TOTY, but still it’ll be insane card.
Chances of POTM: 50%
My prediction: Sergio Ramos (if he’ll get nominated. Other candidate from Real Madrid is Benzema, who would’ve been a 92 rated card). Messi can win it easily, and he probably will if he gets nominated, but I think results will come in play and they’ll chose a different option this month.
