Player of the Month Prediction — March 2026 (Premier League)

Hello and welcome to Premier League Player of The Month Predictions for March. With the fixtures spread fairly evenly and several mid-table sides upsetting the big teams, it feels like a month built around clutch performances rather than pure volume of goals. We’ve got a mix of clinical forwards, creative wingers and one standout centre-back all in the conversation for POTM.
I’ll start with one of the most eye-catching runs – Danny Welbeck at Brighton. An 89 rated POTM item for him would be a throwback-style card, but on current form it’s deserved: 3 goal contributions in 4 games, with all of them coming in big moments. He scored twice in a 2-1 win against Liverpool, effectively deciding the game on his own, and added another decisive goal in a 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest. When your goals directly flip tight matches, that always strengthens a POTM case.
From Brighton to a very different profile at Everton, we have Beto. His month is all about one statement performance: 2 goals and 1 assist in a 3-0 win over Chelsea. An 88 rated POTM would give him nice card for Everton fans. Yes, all three goal contributions came in one match, but doing that against a top side in a clean 3-0 win is exactly the type of performance that tends to catch voters’ attention.
Harry Wilson has quietly had an excellent month for Fulham. An 89 rated POTM for him would reward a more technical, finesse-driven winger: 3 goal contributions in 4 games. He scored and assisted in a 2-1 win over Spurs, then added another goal in a 3-1 win against Burnley. That’s direct involvement in two victories, both against tricky opponents, and his versatility on set pieces and from open play makes this kind of special card really attractive for FUT squads.
Staying in the “difference-maker” category, Morgan Gibbs‑White has been vital for Nottingham Forest. His 88 rated POTM would lean heavily into a creative CAM with good dribbling and passing. The numbers aren’t huge – 2 goal contributions in 4 games – but both came in high-profile matches: a goal in a 2-2 draw against Manchester City and another in a 3-0 win over Spurs. Producing against top-six opposition is a big plus when you compare him with other nominees.
Anthony Gordon has been Newcastle’s main attacking outlet this month. An 89 rated POTM suits his profile perfectly: pace, aggression and end product. He recorded 3 goals in 3 games – one in a 1-0 win over Chelsea, another in a 2-1 loss to Sunderland, and a further strike in a 2-1 win which kept Newcastle in the European race. Even in defeat he was on the scoresheet, and that kind of consistency over a short month is exactly what the award looks for.
The outlier in this list is Gabriel from Arsenal, but in a good way. A 90 rated POTM for a centre-back would be a top-tier defensive item, and his case rests on clean sheets and impact in both boxes. Across 3 games he helped keep 2 clean sheets (1-0 vs Brighton and 2-0 vs Everton) and also provided an assist in a 2-1 win over Chelsea. When a defender is involved in goals and the team’s defensive record for the month is that strong, he absolutely deserves to be in the discussion alongside the attacking names.
The last name on the list, but first as favorite is Bruno Fernandes. Despite not the best United’s record this month he managed to produce wonderful 4 assists and 2 goals, which should lead him to another POTM award, that will bring his potential POTM to 91 card which should be fantastic (and maybe we’ll see 3 PS on a POTM too). But overall, he contributed in every game of the month, so of course he should be in.
Overall, my top three for POTM from this group would be Bruno Fernandes, Welbeck and Gordon. Bruno Fernandes has the strongest “team impact” argument, Welbeck has the biggest statement performance against a top side, and Gordon offers the most consistent goal threat across the month. Any of them would be a very usable POTM card. an see it being any of them, as it’s been very close month.
