Player of the Month Prediction — January 2026 (Serie A)

Hello and welcome to Serie A Player of The Month Predictions for January. A lot of mixed results here and there, but Inter getting a bigger gap from the 2nd place and rise of Juventus are main highlights to me. Overall 5 games were played for most of the teams and that should be enough to choose POTM.

I’ll start with one of the unbeaten teams this month: Atalanta. They won 4 games and drew 1 game, so they climbed from 9th spot to 7th and they aren’t far behind 6 European places. Nikola Krstovic is my choice, as he scored 4 goals and got 1 assist in 5 games. Should be enough for POTM nominee. He has 75 rated gold card and his potential POTM can be up to 87 rated card. Krstovic got 1 goal and 1 assist in 4-0 win over Parma, got 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Pisa, got 2 goals in 2-0 win over Bologna. Kinda decent return, but apart from him I can also see Scalvini and also Charles DeKetalare getting nominees. For Scalvini – he got only 1 goal and kept CS in 4 out of 5 games. Good shout, plus he has good IF, so potential POTM only might be better.

Choosing player from Inter is hard too. I have 2 choices, but wanna go with more unique one. I think Federico DiMarco is better choice than Lautaro, who already got previous POTM and might get TOTY Nominee card, so yeah. DiMarco got 3 goals and 2 assists in 5 games and didn’t play in 1 game. Federico should get a cool IF, so his potential POTM can be crazy good. DiMarco got 2 assists and 1 goal in a game vs Pisa, got 1 goal in 2-2 draw vs Napoli and got 1 goal in 2-0 win over Parma. Unbeaten month for Inter, good results, so we should see DiMarco nominee. If Lautaro will get nominee, his record this month is: 3 goals and 1 assist in 6 games.

From Milan it’s even harder – Leao kinda obvious choice, but only 2 goals and 1 assist in 6 games. Milan struggled hard this month: they got 3 draws and 3 wins this month. Leao scored 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Genoa in 92nd minute, got 1 winning goal against Cagliari and got an assist in 3-1 win over Como. Apart from him – I don’t even know who to mention. Maybe Maignan or Rabiot, but I don’t think those should be nominated. Maignan should’ve won last month, but he didn’t so we’ll have to wait until next time. Leao can get crazy POTM and will be ultra expensive, as his cards are one of the most META ones in FUT, so yeah, if he wins – don’t expect cheap nominee.

Jonathan David finally hit a good form and had incredible month for Juventus. In 5 games he had 3 goals and 1 assist. Yeah, he mixed one good performance with 1 average at best, but overall he was consistent. Scored vs Napoli in 3-0 win, Scored and assisted vs Sassuolo in 3-0 win, got 1 goal in 5-0 win over Cremonese. David we knew from Lille finally arrived? We’ll see, but may be cool POTM to have. If not him – then Weston. But I think it’ll be him who will be nominated.

Last but not least we have Como which had very good month, despite losing to Milan. Won 4 out of 6 games, drew 1 and lost 1. But apart from that they are really good. Cesc finally decided to play Baturina and Martin showed why he was so highly rated in Zagreb. 3 goals and 3 assists this month, should be good POTM nominee, maybe he’ll even win an award, as Como are very good and highly rated. Baturina has only NIF, but potential POTM can be really good and not that expensive.

Also I need to mention Genoa, which upped their chances of survival this month with 3 draws and 2 wins this month and risen up in table. Lorenzo Colombo with 3 goals would be main choice, scored 3 important goals, but not a good card, so I don’t think he has a lot of chances.

Overall, I think it’ll be between Baturina, DiMarco and Krstovic. I hope Baturina wins as he deserves an award, so let’s see what happens!
