Player of the Month Prediction — February 2026 (Ligue 1)

Hello and welcome to Ligue 1 Player of The Month Predictions for February 2026. A full schedule with 4-5 games per team saw PSG extend their lead, Lens chasing them, while Monaco, Rennes, Marseille and Lyon pushed hard in the top-four race. Several players stood out with consistent contributions.
I’ll start with Monaco having good month, after a lot of struggles before and now chasing UCL spots. Simon Adingra transffered and straight up delivered delivered 3 goals in 3 games. POTM could lift his card to around 87 rated card with some nice perks. Adingra scored once in 2-0 vs Angers and added a brace in 3-1 vs Nantes.
Brest impressed mid-table with solid results and probably saved them from relegation. Ludovic Ajorque posted 4 goals and 2 assists in 5 games, amazing form and probably main contender. His POTM upgrade would be huge, but still no one would sadly use him for a lot of reasons, but still! Ajorque netted in 2-0 over Lorient and 1-0 vs Metz, both goals in 2-0 vs Marseille, plus assists in 1-1 vs Lille and 2-2 vs Nice. One of the better months for Ligue 1 Player
Lyon showed fight despite some losses, I mean they were on 14 win streak, but lost 2 in a row. Still, Corentin Tolisso managed 3 goals in 3 games. Can be nice POTM, but doubt he’ll get it due to 2 losses this month. Tolisso scored in 3-2 defeat to Marseille, 3-1 loss vs Strasbourg, and 2-0 win over Nice.
PSG dominated as usual up top, solidified their lead over Lens as they slipped up few times. Was hard to choose POTM, because loads of good performances, but no one really stood out due to rotation. Bradley Barcola contributed 2 goals and 1 assist in 4 games. POTM might push his card to 88 territory. Barcola assisted in 2-1 over Strasbourg, scored in 1-0 vs Le Havre, and 3-0 vs Metz.
Rennes mixed results but with key moments as they are chasing UCL spots too. Esteban Lepaul netted 3 goals in 4 games. A POTM would be a solid boost for his current form. Lepaul scored in 3-1 loss to Lens, 3-1 win over PSG, and 3-0 vs Auxerre.
Overall, it should be Ajorque, others realistically have no chances, but I saw loads of magic in Ligue 1 POTM, so we’ll see how it’ll go.
