Player of the Month Prediction — December 2025 (Ligue 1)

Hello and welcome to Ligue 1 Player of the Month Predictions for December. Hard month to predict, as there were only 2 games this month in a league, that’s why choosing players were painful.
Went with 3 candidates that shined the most and played well in both games this month. First one is Yann Mvogo for Lorient. Kept 2 CS in 2 games and overall was the most impressive player this month. Lorient sitting 5 points above relegation zone, mostly due to Mvogo heroics. He got already and IF and potentially his POTM will be 86 rated card and of course it’ll be cheap one.
Next option is a bit of throwback for many people: Nabil Bentaleb. Played well in both Lille wins this month, they are now sitting 4th and 2 points above chasing them Lyon. Bentaleb scored 1 goal in 4-3 win and got 1 assist in 1-0 win. Overall, Bentaleb recently got a cool card, so I expect it to be kinda the same, if he wins: 86 rated cheap, but good all-around card.
And the last option is Emersonn from Toulouse. He also got 1 goal and 1 assist in 2 wins for them, 1 goal in 1-0 win over Strasbourg and 1 assist in 3-0 win over Paris FC. Good month, good player, got an IF, so potentially decent 85-86 rated POTM, if he can win an award. As I’ve said – it’s very close month and any of those 3 candidates can win an award.
There are few more options like Edouard from Lens, who scored 2 goals in 2 games for league leaders Lens, we also have Kvara who scored 2 goals for PSG in one game and was on a bench for other game. Kamory Doumbia got 1Goal and 1 Assist in 2 games, but unlike others – they lost 1 game out of 2, so that’s why I didn’t include him.
