Hello and welcome to my Liga F Team of the Season so far for 2025/26. This season has been defined by one story above all others: FC Barcelona Femení’s overwhelming dominance. With 78 points from 27 matches, an extraordinary record of 26 wins and just 1 defeat, alongside a staggering goal difference of +114 (121 scored, only 7 conceded), Barcelona have completely separated themselves from the rest of the league. Their control has gone far beyond results alone — the numbers reflect one of the most dominant seasons seen in European women’s football in recent years. This context makes the Team of the Season selection both obvious in several areas and fascinating in others, blending Barcelona’s elite-level core with standout performers from Real Madrid Femenino, Atlético Madrid Femenino, Real Sociedad Femenino and beyond.

Clàudia Pina has emerged as the league’s most decisive attacking player, leading Liga F in goals and total goal contributions while combining elite movement with ruthless finishing efficiency. Alongside her, Ewa Pajor has added constant penalty-box threat and relentless scoring consistency, while Caroline Graham Hansen continues to dominate wide areas through creativity, progression and chance creation. Athenea del Castillo has also been one of the league’s most dangerous direct wingers, providing verticality and attacking unpredictability for Real Madrid throughout the campaign.

The midfield selections reflect technical control and balance at the highest level. Alexia Putellas once again dictates matches through composure, intelligence and final-third quality, while Kika Nazareth adds creativity, progressive carrying and fluid movement between the lines. Caroline Weir has been central to Real Madrid’s attacking structure with her creativity and passing range, and Natalia Ramos Álvarez provides defensive balance and positional discipline from deeper midfield areas for Tenerife.

There are also several players across the league who have made their mark in different ways. Luany and Synne Jensen have both delivered important attacking output for Atlético Madrid, while Laura Pérez has emerged as Granada’s most reliable scoring presence. Fiamma Benítez adds energy and ball progression from midfield, and Mapi León remains the league’s most complete ball-playing defender, combining defensive leadership with elite distribution from the back. Esmee Brugts has provided width and attacking support from left-back, while Aiara Aguirrezabala brings intensity and defensive reliability on the right side for Real Sociedad. Elba Vergés has been one of the breakout defensive performers of the season for Tenerife, and Misa Rodríguez earns the goalkeeper spot through consistency and high-level shot stopping for Real Madrid.
