FC 27 Early Access Day-One Checklist (Ultimate Team Foundations)
FC 27 early access day one, in order: claim rewards, finish club setup, start Intro Evolutions and avoid wasting coins in your first Ultimate Team session.
Correct as of 19 Sep 2026 (Europe/London)
TL;DR — what to do first (in order)
If you already have Ultimate / Ultimate+ early access, follow this plan before you get lost in packs or the transfer market:
- Claim early-access / edition rewards and Season Pass items sitting in your unassigned or Objectives inbox.
- Finish club setup if you skipped the Web App (name, badge, kits, formation skeleton).
- Start Intro / Training Camp Evolutions (or whichever live starter EVOs are in the store) so match progress counts from game one.
- Do Squad Foundations and other early SBCs in the game. The Web App launched without SBCs (community reporting), so Foundations have to wait for the full game.
- Build a usable starter XI around cheap league links, and check Lowest Prices before you panic-buy.
- Optional: start the Ones We Watched Single Player Live Event path towards a free OTW Savinho. Check the objective text in-game before you commit to a set number of matches.

What to do: work through Foundations with FUTWIZ SBC solutions, check fodder prices on Lowest Prices, then set your XI in Squad Builder.
Day-one priority order (do this first)
Claim early-access / edition rewards
Before you think about the transfer market, claim the free items EA has already given you:
- Open unassigned items, packs from pre-order / edition bundles, and any Season Pass or early-access Objective rewards.
- Claim the Debut International ICON (or your edition's pre-order player) if your Ultimate / Ultimate+ edition includes it. EA lists Debut International ICONs for those editions from Early Access.
- Look out for Season Points: eligible matches count towards the Season 1 ladder while you play for other goals.
There's no “best order” for opening packs. Claim everything, sort your duplicates, and decide later which fodder goes into Foundations and which into Streamlined upgrades.
Finish club setup if you skipped the Web App
If you never touched the Web App (or only browsed the market), spend five quiet minutes on:
- Club name / badge / kits (free renames are limited, so check in-game).
- A starter formation and chemistry plan you can live with for the first few days.
- Consumables and chemistry styles already in the club.
Returning players who already did this on the Web App can skip straight to Evolutions and Foundations.
Start an Intro Evolution early
EA lists Evolutions as Early Access content. A habit that pays off on day one:
- Open the Evolutions menu and pick an accessible Training Camp / Intro path (names change, so check what's live).
- Slot a cheap, chemistry-friendly gold you actually plan to play.
- Play modes that count towards that Evolution (Squad Battles, Live Events or Rivals, whatever the challenge allows), so every early match does two jobs.
Use the FUTWIZ Evolutions hub to shortlist players before you spend coins on one who doesn't meet the requirements.
Early access unlock times (PC vs console)
Dates below match EA’s Launch Update Pitch Notes (14 Sep 2026). Convert UTC to your local zone as needed; UK players are on BST (UTC+1) for these dates.
PC — 17 Sep 23:00 UTC
| Milestone | EA time |
|---|---|
| PC early access (Ultimate / Ultimate+) | 17 Sep 2026, 23:00 UTC |
| EA Play Pro (full game, PC timing) | 17 Sep 2026, 23:00 UTC |
For UK players, that's 00:00 BST on 18 Sep: the same midnight as console, but the PC unlock is set by the UTC time above.
Console — 18 Sep
| Milestone | EA time |
|---|---|
| Console / other platforms early access | 18 Sep 2026, 00:00 regional time |
| EA Play 10-hour trial | 18 Sep 2026, 04:00 UTC |
“Regional midnight” means your console's local time zone, not one worldwide UTC time. Check the store and download a few hours early so patches finish before unlock.
Worldwide reminder for friends still waiting
| Milestone | EA time |
|---|---|
| Worldwide — PC | 24 Sep 2026, 23:00 UTC |
| Worldwide — other platforms | 25 Sep 2026, 00:00 regional |
Friends on Standard Edition can use this same checklist from worldwide launch. Foundations, Evolutions and SBCs are in the full game, not the Web App. The Web App and Companion still help with the market and club setup from 16 / 17 Sep, but they launched without SBCs, according to community reporting (see below).
Note on EA's wording: the Early Access section of the Pitch Notes says Ultimate / Ultimate+ early access starts “from 18 September”, while the key-dates list in the same article is more precise (PC 17 Sep 23:00 UTC; other platforms 18 Sep 00:00 regional). We go by the key-dates list.
Foundations and Streamlined SBCs (in-game only for now)
Why the Web App could not clear these at launch
Squad Foundations, Challenge / Upgrade SBCs and Streamlined SBCs are Early Access features in the full game for eligible editions. Community reporting says the Web App and Companion App launched without SBCs, including Foundations.
What EA itself confirms:
- Streamlined SBCs are available on console and PC at launch.
- They are intended for the Companion App later in Season 1 — no exact date.
- Early Access content lists Squad Foundations, Challenge and Upgrade SBCs, and Ones to Watch themed Player SBCs among the things you can start in-game.
So if you spent Web App week hoping to do Foundations in your browser, you couldn't. Day one in the full game is when you catch up.
Use FUTWIZ SBC solutions + Lowest Prices for cheap submits
Once you're in the game:
- Open Foundations and upgrade SBCs and note the requirements (a traditional squad puzzle, or a Streamlined Item Score target).
- Cross-check cheap solutions on the FUTWIZ SBCs hub.
- Buy missing fodder through Lowest Prices rather than the first Buy Now you see.
- For Streamlined challenges, use real duplicates and spare low-rated golds towards the Item Score before you give up starter XI players.
Third-party costs aren't guaranteed. Launch markets move fast, and EA can change SBCs, so check the live requirements.
Season 1 Ones to Watch — what matters on day one
Promo window dates
Season 1: Ones to Watch runs 17 Sep–22 Oct 2026 (EA). Earn OTW items via the Season Pass, with select players also available through SBCs and Objectives from Early Access.
On day one, you don't need a full OTW XI. You just need to know which cards can still upgrade and which objectives are worth starting.
Track live forms and upgrades on FUTWIZ Players and shortlist names in the Players DB.
Wins to Watch from 18 Sep
From 18 Sep 2026, OTW items get a one-time +1 OVR if their club wins three of its next six domestic league matches. EA confirms the OTW player doesn't have to play in those matches for the wins to count.
That's why OTWs from early packs, SBCs and objectives can be worth more than the base card: club form can give a free upgrade early in Season 1. If a player transfers before earning Wins to Watch, EA says they lose that bonus, so check FUTWIZ Players before you pay extra because of a rumour.
Optional: start Ones We Watched towards a free OTW Savinho
EA describes Ones We Watched as a Single Player Live Event series celebrating past OTW years. Community guides and other sites report that finishing the Ones We Watched Challenge Completionist path gives you a free OTW Savinho (Savio), usually through a chain of offline challenges that get harder as you go.
Go by the objective text in-game for match counts, packs and coins. Objectives can change, so check before you give up an evening to a published “17-game” route.
If you want a free special RW without buying packs, start Ones We Watched early. You need the full game for the matches, not the Web App. Combine it with Foundations and an Intro Evolution so one session moves several things forward.
Build a usable starter XI fast
League pairings and Foundations players
Foundations and early Objectives often push you towards league or nation starters. Here's a simple approach:
- Pick one or two leagues you can chemistry-link cheaply (plus ICON / Hero links if you already own them).
- Keep Foundations reward players in your club; they're often the easiest way to link chemistry on day two.
- Don't chase every promo card. A solid core of 75–82 golds beats five specials that don't link.
Squad Builder + Players DB shortlist
Plan before you spend coins in a hurry:
- Players DB — filter by position, league, nation, and price band.
- Squad Builder: set a formation, test chemistry and make a shopping list.
- Have a budget XI and a stretch XI, so one missed snipe doesn't ruin your plan.
Avoid panic-buying — check Lowest Prices
Panic Buy Nows cost you at launch. A better habit:
- Shortlist in Players DB / Squad Builder.
- Check Lowest Prices.
- Bid where there are enough listings; only Buy Now when the price gap is small or you need the player for an Objective or Evolution in that session.
Spend coins on a team you'll play with first, not on “investments”.
Day-one FAQ
Do I need Ultimate Edition for early access?
For the early-access week, yes: Ultimate or Ultimate+ (or EA Play Pro on PC timing). EA's Pitch Notes describe Early Access for Ultimate Edition players, with PC unlocking at 17 Sep 23:00 UTC and other platforms at 18 Sep 00:00 regional.
Standard Edition players get the full game at worldwide launch (PC from 24 Sep 23:00 UTC; other platforms from 25 Sep regional midnight). They can still use the Web App / Companion for market and club setup from 16 / 17 Sep, then run this same checklist when the client unlocks.
Can I finish SBCs on Companion yet?
Not at launch. Community reporting says Companion (and the Web App) opened without SBCs. EA says Streamlined SBCs are on console/PC at launch and are planned for Companion later in Season 1, with no exact date. Until then, use Companion for the market and club management, and do Foundations in the full game.
Should I open packs or complete Foundations first?
Claim the packs already in your club, but do Foundations, early SBCs and a playable XI before you open everything.
Why:
- Foundations and early upgrade SBCs help your club grow in a planned way (players, packs and coins; check the live rewards).
- Opening every pack first can leave you with a messy unassigned pile and no chemistry plan.
- Keeping some fodder for Streamlined Item Score submissions is often smarter than quick-selling into a panicky market.
If an Objective actually requires you to open a particular pack, do that. Otherwise: plan first, packs second.

Launch dates, the Early Access content list, the Season 1 OTW window, Wins to Watch rules and Streamlined SBC platform notes are checked against EA's Pitch Notes (Launch Update, 14 Sep 2026) and the Season 1 Ones to Watch page (16 Sep 2026). The lack of SBCs on the Web and Companion Apps at launch, and the free OTW Savinho Completionist path, come from community reporting. Check the apps, Objectives and EA's channels for changes after 19 Sep 2026.
