Premier League Week 2 Predicted Lineups and FPL Tips

After an eventful opening weekend of the Premier League, we’re back to give you our predicated lineups and some FPL tips! There have been lots of new signings and a few injuries after the first round of fixtures, which will mean that some managers will alter their squads. So with that being said, here are our predicted teams for week two of the Premier League!

How Correct were Last Week’s Predictions?

The first week’s lineups are always tough to predict as we can never be certain as to how managers, especially new ones, will set up their team. So here’s how we get on:

Manchester United- 8/11

Fulham- 8/11

Ipswich- 6/11

Liverpool- 9/11

Arsenal- 10/11

Wolves- 9/11

Everton- 10/11

Brighton- 10/11

Newcastle- 10/11

Southampton- 11/11

Nottingham Forest- 10/11

Bournemouth- 8/11

West Ham- 9/11

Aston Villa- 9/11

Brentford- 10/11

Crystal Palace- 10/11

Chelsea- 9/11

Manchester City- 11/11

Leicester- 7/11

Tottenham- 9/11

183/220 players guessed correctly. Not a bad start for us, but we’ll look to improve this score every gameweek!

Brighton vs Manchester United (K.O 12:30pm Saturday)

Brighton’s predicted lineup:

Manchester United’s predicted line-up

FPL Tips

At £7.0m, if Zirkzee starts for Manchester United, there is a high chance he can contribute towards goals and gain some points for your FPL team.

Welbeck gained 12 points in gameweek 1. At £5.5m, this would be a low risk signing with potential of high rewards.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham (K.O 3pm Saturday)

Crystal Palace’s predicted lineup:

West Ham’s predicted lineup:

FPL Tips

I think the best asset from Crystal Palace is still Eze (£7.0m) due to his ability to change a game and gain vital goal contribution points. West Ham’s creativity may continue to come from Paqueta (£6.0m) who is a cheap budget mdifielder.

Fulham vs Leicester (K.O 3pm Saturday)

Fulham’s predicted line-up

Leicester City’s predicted lineup:

FPL Tips

Fulham’s attacking assets will be a good look here against a Leicester side who could concede a fair few goals. With Leicester attacking injuries, Vardy (£5.5m) may continue to play up top, so he could be a cheap attacking option.

Manchester City vs Ipswich (K.O 3pm Saturday)

Manchester City’s predicted lineup:

Ipswich’s predicted lineup:

FPL Tips

If Rico Lewis (£4.5m) can continue to hold his place in the starting 11, then a Manchester City defender for little money is a must in your team. To be frank, I can’t see many Ipswich players getting many points out of this game, but Jacob Greaves (£4.0m) is a starting centre-back who is the minimum price.

Southampton vs Nottingham Forest (K.O 3pm Saturday)

Southampton’s predicted lineup:

Nottingham Forest’s predicted lineup:

Now, you may have noticed the missing player in the squad. However, this player would be Murillo, but he doesn’t actually have a card in ultimate team, so we’ve left it blank for now!

FPL Tips

Southampton don’t have many appealing FPL assets, but at £4.5m Walker-Peters could provide your FPL team with decent points. Chris Wood (£6.0m) should be highly considered an option at striker this week against recently promoted Southampton.

Tottenham vs Everton (K.O 3pm Saturday)

Tottenham’s predicted lineup:

Everton’s predicted lineup:

FPL Tips

I’d be looking at some defensive Spurs options here as there is a strong chance of a clean sheet in this game. We’ve predicted Mason Holgate (£4.0m) to start on Saturday with the suspension to Ashley Young, so if you’d like a minimum price bench player, he would be a decent choice.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal (K.O 5:30pm Saturday)

Aston Villa’s predicted lineup:

Arsenal’s predicted lineup:

FPL Tips

This will be an extremely tough game, but if one man can break the deadlock, it could be Ollie Watkins (£9.0m).

Havertz (£8.1m) impressed against Wolves scoring 12 points. If he keeps up his form he can comfortably rack up points for your FPL squad.

Bournemouth vs Newcastle (K.O 2pm Sunday)

Bournemouth’s predicted lineup:

Newcastle’s predicted lineup:

FPL Tips

With Semenyo likely to be playing up top, at £5.5m he’s a great choice and he would count as a midfield pick! Livramento (£4.5m) started Newcastle, last game over Trippier, so if this theme continues, I would get him straight in to your team!

Wolves vs Chelsea (K.O 2pm Sunday)

Wolves’ predicted lineup:

Chelsea’s predicted lineup:

FPL Tips

With Cunha potentially coming back in to the Wolves, lineup, at £6.5m this would be a differential but potentially beneficial pick. Nkunku (£6.5m) scored midweek and could continue his form in to the weekend and pick up some FPL points.

Liverpool vs Brentford (K.O 4:30pm Sunday)

Liverpool’s predicted lineup:

Brentford’s predicted lineup:

FPL Tips

Jota (£7.6m) is a truly underrated striker and if he stays fit, he will continue to score goals and rack up points on FPL. Wissa (£6.0M) had an 11 point outing last game and if he were to continue in that fashion, he would be a fantastic pick.
