Hello and welcome to Ligue 1 Player of the Month Predictions. Last month was won by Barcola fair and square. This month will be much harder. Ligue 1 feels like the most boring one in Top 5 segment and their teams not showing up really. We’ll try to fix it.
No team had a perfect month, even PSG. They won 2 games and drew 1. Finding player from PSG is hard. I think it should be Ousmane Dembele. He plays at very good level this season and consistently gets high marks from outlets. This month he had 1 goal and 1 assist, plus MOTM vs Nice. There’s a possibility of Barcola getting 2nd POTM already with 2 goals and 2 assists in the same games and I think his 2nd POTM would go even better. Barcola would be 86 or 87 rated card, similar to his RTTK card. Ousmane would be 88 or 89 rated card even better than his Trailblazer card. Dembouz should be worth around 800k, while Barcola would be around 400k. Both very expensive POTMs, but if it’s Dembouz – I think he might be worth it, not going to lie.
Lyon had a good month too with 2 wins and 2 draws. It’s hard to choose again, as there wasn’t clear best performer. Cherki had an assist, Mikautadze scored 2 goals or Tagliafico who got 1 goal and was named several MOTMs. I’ll go with Tagliafico who got 2 MOTM awards, 1 goal and kept CS. If he wins POTM he should be getting 84 rated card with some good pace upgrade to be useful. Bring back Tagliafico from FUT 19 and 20. That was a real deal. Very cheap POTM that should be worth around 40k at max.
Last player that should be nominated in my eyes is Marcin Bulka from Nice. Remember last year when he actually won POTM? Those were the days and we can bring them back. He kept 1 CS and was named MOTM in 3 out of 4 games. He was really good for Nice, that got themselves back on track with 2 draws and 2 wins this month. There were serious opponents in face of PSG, Monaco and Brest. Bulka again a hero for them. If he wins POTM – he should be 84-85 rated POTM that might be very decent link with POTM Lewandowski. Of course, should be cheaper POTM with 30-40k pricetag.
Very depressing POTM, very hard to choose, but I’d go with PSG player. Either Barcola or Dembouz would be a good choice for your squads.
