• Very good dribbling, he is able to manoeuvre out of tight spaces in the midfield

• He has 97 Stamina, so he is able to press for the full 90 minutes

• High/High Work Rates are great for a Box to Box CM

• 4* Weak Foot

Negatives

• 3* Skill Moves

• No shooting traits, these are desirable to have if possible

• Nation and Club links are ok, they’re not the best though

• Only 79 Finishing which can let him down in front of goal at times

PLAYER COMPARISONS – IS HE BETTER THAN? (SERIE A CMs)

World Cup PTG Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – 145K

Milinkovic-Savic is a very similar card to Wijnaldum, the main difference is that Milinkovic-Savic has 4* Skills and 5* Weak Foot. Milinkovic-Savic is more of a physical CM whereas Wijnaldum is more of an agile CM, so it really is down to personal preference.

World Cup Hero Claudio Marchisio – 1.78m

There really isn’t a big difference between the two cards, you could say Marchisio just edges it has he has a few more in game attributes. I would say Marchisio is the better choice offensively and Wijnaldum the better choice defensively.

World Cup PTG Marcelo Brozovic – 74K

Brozovic and Wijnaldum are very similar cards, but Wijnaldum just edges it in most areas.

World Cup Hero Hidetoshi Nakata – 152K

Nakata would be the better choice as a CAM, but overall Wijnaldum is a better card, especially as a CM.

RATINGS

VERDICT

Wijnaldum is up there with one of the best value cards in the game right now, for only 85K you get yourself an extremely top tier box to box CM. As long as you boost his pace he performs superbly.

The only tricky thing is if you are able to fit him in your team and get him the chemistry he needs, as Roma don’t have many options and there are a few Netherlands options, luckily Serie A has some great players.

Wijnaldum is top box to box CM and an incredible price so for me this is an easy SPEND!
