Let’s discuss Bundesliga POTM for June.
This is the last month of Bundesliga in 19\20 season. Yes, it was longer than usual, but Bundesliga finished faster than other leagues, that continued the season.
Bundesliga’s finish of the season was as usual exciting. Bayern secured 1st place and continued their impressive form under Hansi Flick winning every single game.
BVB finished 2nd, had some up and downs during last month, not much to highlight, as they secured 2nd place pretty early.
3rd was Leipzig, Timo Werner scored last few goals for Leipzig before departing to Chelsea.
4th place went to Gladbach, despite Bayer Leverkusen efforts. Gladbach deserved 4th spot if we look overall at the season and Lars Stindl came in clutch in the last few games.
Hoffenheim had a good finish to the season, despite sacking their manager. They secured 6th place and Andrej Kramaric carried them at the end of the season, Wolfsburg finished 7th and Wout Weghorst tried his best.
Other than that – Eintracht had a very good finish, they finished in the top half of the table and Andre Silva peaked after quarantine.
POTM in my eyes is kinda easy, but let’s cover multiple options.
Let’s start.
Robert Lewandowski
My 1st candidate for POTM. Lewa had an insane season. Scored 33 goals and in the last month he scored 5 goals, he scored in every game of the month for Bayern and helped them to win every game of the month.
Chances of POTM: 65%
Tips for investing:
His rating would be 95, but I don’t expect it to be very expensive. Fodder as usual, but it’s already high and I doubt that many people will complete him, when you can buy Headliner or even TOTS
Estimated Cost: 200k. 95 rating, 85+86 squad or so. Maybe who wanted to try cheap Lewa – it’s the best time.
Andrej Kramaric is my second candidate from Bundesliga. 5 goals in 4 games, even tho he scored 4 in 1 game vs BVB, but still he had some strong performances over the month and carried Hoffie to 6th place
Chances of POTM: 15%
Tips for investing:
Nothing to see here, he’d be 87 rated card and really cheap.
Estimated cost: 30k?. Maybe a bit more, but still a nice gesture to Hoffie fans and their good finish of the season.
Other cards should be similar value, so let’s discuss them in 1 round together.
Wout Weghorst, Andre Silva, David Abraham, Lars Stindl:
Wout Weghorst scored 5 goals, he had a nice month and should be nominated, despite Wolfsburg losing 6th spot in the last few weeks. Would be 88 rated card
Andre Silva scored also 5 goals and got 1 assist, but he scored or assisted in every single game, so that’s a nice bonus. It’s good to see Andre doing well, because he had rough few years in Milan or other clubs. Would be 86 rated card.
David Abraham is from Frankfurt, like Silva and he’s the only defender that I can see getting nominated. 1 goal and nice rating overall. Would be 84 rated card.
All of those potential cards shouldn’t be worth more than 50k.
My prediction: Lewandowski. Robert should win pretty easily and deservedly
