Despite first POTM actually already being released in a face of Haland, we’re starting our cycle this month, as per usual. Before last matchday it was easier to decide who will get POTM, but after last weekend’s heroics by Palmer we have a dilemma on our hands.
Overall list should be something like this: Cole Palmer, Luis Diaz, Nicolas Jackson, Ollie Watkins, Mo Salah and Dwight McNeil.
All of them have a chance, in my opinion. Palmer had a crazy game vs Brighton and got 4 goals, before that he had 1 goal and 1 assist in 2 games, which is still fine. With his POTM being at least 87, we should get some great card. It’ll probably be expensive. I honestly never used Palmer in game, so don’t know how he moves, but his base card looks like a quality CAM. His price won’t be too expensive, I think, as his base card is under 10k. But overall I expect around 100-120k for his POTM.
Nicolas Jackson had great game vs West Ham with 2 goals and 1 assist and also had 1 goal and 1 assist in other games. Similar pattern to Palmer with 1 great game and 2 decent ones. His POTM should be 84 and he’ll look very nice. There’s already an evo for his IF, so I think they’ll be pretty similar cards and would worth around 50k or so, as his IF is only 12k.
Now we move on to Liverpool duo. Luis Diaz had a great start to a season and was scoring in every game before Wolves game. Still 4 goals this month with 2 being vs Bournemouth and 2 goals vs Manchester United. Game vs Forest was an anomaly, which Liverpool saw in their rise to 1st place this month. Diaz already has a good looking IF card and his potentially 87 POTM would be going crazy good. And crazy expensive. His IF is 240k, so his POTM should be around 300-320k. Would be expensive, but one mad card at the start of the game.
Mo Salah, despite not scoring as many goals as usual, performs at amazing level. 1 winning goal vs Wolves, 1 assist vs Bournemouth, 2 assists and 1 goal vs Manchester United. Great stats, great player and potentially another POTM Salah at the start of the season. His NIF Price is around 300k, so his POTM I expect to be around 500k. Expensive, but good. 3* WF is still an issue that’s hard to fix, but he’s very good in game.
2 other players:
Ollie Watkins got 4 goals and 1 assist this month. 1 goal and 1 assist vs Ipswich in 2-2 draw, 1 goal in 3-1 win over Wolves, 2 goals in mad comeback vs Everton in 3-2. Great stats, great start of the season for Ollie and he already has UCL card. I think if he gets POTM, his card should look kinda similar and should worth around 100k at max too. As UCL is dynamic card, so it should be more expensive.
Dwight McNeil is last option. Everton had some fun games this month. 2 times they were leading 2-0 and 2 times they lost 3-2. They were losing 1-0 last game of the month and surprisingly won it 2-1. McNeil played at a great level in every game. He scored 2 goals in 2-1 win and brought Everton first 3 points of the season, scored and assisted vs Villa in 3-2 loss too. 4 goals and 1 assist for him is great, especially considering the fact that he plays for Everton.
Very hard month with 6 great performances, I think Luis Diaz will win it, due to some fan voting, but every single player out of these mentioned ones deserve it. Should be quite interesting POTM and of course he’ll be absolutely playable.
