The Premier League is back after the international break and there’s lots to look forward to this weekend in England’s top flight. The highlighted fixture this week is the North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham. After a few injuries, some teams’ lineups are expected to change for their next match, so we’re here to give you our lineup predictions as well as some FPL tips!
How correct were last week’s predictions?
In our second week, we guessed 190/220 players correctly which was an improvement from week one. Let’s see if we can keep on improving and take a look at how we scored in week three:
Arsenal: 11/11
Aston Villa: 10/11
Bournemouth: 8/11
Brentford: 10/11
Brighton: 8/11
Chelsea: 11/11
Crystal Palace: 8/11
Everton: 9/11
Fulham: 10/11
Ipswich: 10/11
Leicester: 8/11
Liverpool: 11/11
Manchester City: 7/11
Manchester United: 10/11
Newcastle: 11/11
Nottingham Forest: 11/11
Southampton: 9/11
Tottenham: 8/11
West Ham: 9/11
Wolves: 8/11
187/220 players guessed correctly. This is slightly worse than last week, however with deadline day providing some big changes to squads, this still isn’t a bad score.
Southampton vs Manchester United (K.O 12:30pm Saturday)
Southampton’s predicted lineup:
(The reason why there is a blank position in the squad is because we believe Mateus Fernandes will start, however, he doesn’t have a card in Ultimate Team)
Manchester United’s predicted lineup:
FPL Tips
Sugawara (£4.5m) is the only player to score for Southampton so far this season, meaning he is also the Saints’ highest scorer in FPL. Another £4.5m defender who’s been very popular on FPL this season is Mazraoui. He’s managed 13 points in three games.
Brighton vs Ipswich (K.O 3pm Saturday)
Brighton’s predicted lineup:
Ipsiwch’s predicted lineup:
(Similarly to last week, the spare slot is meant for Axel Tuanzebe)
FPL Tips
Two eight pointers in a row for Joao Pedro have made him a very appealable choice at £5.7m. Davis (£4.5m) has continued his fantastic form from last season in the championship as he provided an assist last game. At a cheap price, he’s a low risk option with potential for high points.
Crystal Palace vs Leicester (K.O 3pm Saturday)
Crystal Palace’s predicted lineup:
Leicester’s predicted lineup:
FPL Tips
I think the most obvious choice for Crystal Palace is be Eze (£6.9m). He scored 10 points in his last fixture against Chelsea. Facundo Buonanotte (£5.0m) is on good form with a goal and an assist in his last two games. He’s a very good budget pick for your FPL team!
Fulham vs West Ham (K.O 3pm Saturday)
Fulham’s predicted lineup:
West Ham’s predicted lineup:
FPL Tips
Adama Traore (£5.0m) has started every game so far this season for Fulham and has managed two goal contributions so far. Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m) is definitely West Ham’s best attacking asset. He’s scored 15 points so far this season.
Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest (K.O 3pm Saturday)
Liverpool’s predicted lineup:
Nottingham Forest’s predicted lineup:
(Again here we think Murillo will start for Nottingham Forest, but he doesn’t have an Ultimate Team item)
FPL Tips
I would be seriously considering Luis Diaz for your team. He may be £7.6m, but he’s grabbed 32 points which is the third most out of every player! Gibbs-White (£6.5m) is a differential pick as inly 3.9% of players have picked him. However, against Southampton he scored 10 points.
Manchester City vs Brentford (K.O 3pm Saturday)
Manchester City’s predicted lineup:
Brentford’s predicted lineup:
FPL Tips
Even though the FPL spotlight is on Haaland (£15.2m), some attention should be put on Bernardo Silva who has 15 points so far this campaign. Brentford players may not popular choices this week, however there’s potential for Wissa (£6.1m) to nick a goal or two!
Aston Villa vs Everton (K.O 5:30pm Saturday)
Aston Villa’s predicted lineup:
Everton’s predicted lineup:
FPL Tips
Amadou Onana (£5.1m) has been scoring goals as of late and that has brought plenty of FPL points. A goal and an assist for Calvert-Lewin (£5.9m) in his last outing has made him slightly more appealing to choose for your team.
Bournemouth vs Chelsea (K.O 8pm Saturday)
Bournemouth’s predicted lineup:
Chelsea’s predicted lineup:
FPL Tips
Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m) hasn’t scored less than five points so far in this FPL season. Can he continue this form against Chelsea? Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson (£7.6m) has an average of six points per match at the moment which makes him a tempting pick!
Tottenham vs Arsenal (K.O 2pm Sunday)
Tottenham’s predicted lineup:
Arsenal’s predicted lineup:
FPL Tips
Son at £10.0m may be the obvious pick, but we would suggest looking at Kulusevski at £6.4m. We expect him to start there’s potential for him to get amongst the goals. Havertz (£8.1m) has been ever present for Arsenal this season. He’s scored 22 points so far this campaign.
Wolves vs Newcastle (K.O 4:30pm Sunday)
Wolves’ predicted lineup:
Newcastle’s predicted lineup:
FPL Tips
Wolves midfielder Bellegarde (£5.0m) is a low risk budget option. He scored in his last game against Nottingham Forest. After scoring against Tottenham, Harvey Barnes (£6.4m) has become a much more appealing midfield option for FPL. He’s scored 14 points in his last two games!
