FC Pro Open Custom Tactics (Match Week 6)

Match Week 6 of the FC Pro Open has concluded, marking the end of Group B’s matches and confirming three more players for the knockout stages.

The week began with high stakes as four players were still in contention for qualification. AboFawzi faced a tough challenge, needing a flawless run to keep his hopes alive.

Unfortunately, The1OS had to withdraw, resulting in 3-0 wins being awarded to his opponents. This meant each player only competed in four matches this week.

Before diving into the tactics, let’s recap the Match Week 6 results and standings.

Vejrgang dominated the group, starting with a commanding 6-1 victory over ManuBachore in the opening game and maintaining his undefeated streak throughout the night.

Manu, who led the group after the first round of matches, had a tough week, losing his first three games and significantly reducing his chances of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Here’s how Group B wrapped up: Vejrgang, Nicolas99FC, and LJR Peixoto secured the three qualification spots, with ManuBachore narrowly missing out on qualification by one point.

Now, the bit you have all been waiting for, let’s get into the Tactics.

Vejrgang: 4-2-1-3

Anders opted for the increasingly popular 4-2-1-3 formation, a setup that has steadily gained traction in the pro scene. His approach was fairly standard, using two Roaming Inside Forwards, with two Deep-Lying Playmakers.

As you would expect, all 3 of his CM have good passing PlayStyle+, which is so important this year.

Nicolas99FC: 4-2-1-3

Nicolas also opted for the 4-2-1-3 formation, which promises to be a staple throughout the season for its defensive solidity and effective counterattacking capabilities.

In contrast to Anders’ setup, Nicolas employs Holding roles for his CDMs and positions one of his wingers as a traditional Winger.

LJR Peixoto: 4-4-1-1

LJR went with the 4-4-1-1, another popular formation within the pro scene, utilising two box-to-box midfielders and two wide players set to the Winger role.

It is worth noting that all 3 of his CMs have two PlayStyle+, and two of the three both have two passing PlayStyles.

ManuBachore: 4-4-1-1

Manu stuck with the 4-4-1-1 formation, making him the only player in the group to use the same setup across both rounds of matches.

The difference between his and LJRs setup is that he used Inside Foward roles for his wide players and the Holding role for his CMs.

AboFawzi: 4-2-1-3

Abo Fawzi also went with the 4-2-1-3, and the setup is very standard with Holding CMs and Inside Forward wingers.

The only real thing of note is his choice to use Reiten at CAM, not a player we have seen much in these games.
