fifaRAWR's Team of the Week Predictions: Week 32 - The Final Team

Post time 22/04/2014 07:30pm 22/04/2014 07:30pm by fifaRAWR | Predictions

Another mad and very hard week to predict, especially given the number of hattricks and having to factor in promotion-attaining performances. Going to try something a little different as far as the write-ups go this week seeing as it's a bit of a poor TOTW - good thing there's gunna be these blue cards appearing on Wednesday, eh? Enjoy lads, and if you could remember to leave your suggestions in the comments as well as following myself and FUTWIZ on Twitter and perhaps even sharing this around to your mates, that would be brilliant.

We are the Champions!

It's getting to that time of year again where leagues are being finalised at the top (and bottom) and for me, if a player scores twice to seal his team the title, he should walk into the TOTW. Brazilian Benfica striker Lima did just that, scoring twice for the Eagles as they secured their 33rd Primeira Liga title.

We are going up, say we are going up!

Sure, being promoted from the 2.Bundesliga isn't quite as glamorous as winning the Primeira Liga but it's still a big deal. There's a couple of players with 1. FC Koln links in this team but the one I'm going to be focusing on is super sub Marcel Risse. The winger was introduced at half time and lit up Koln's 3-0 win over VfL Bochum, a victory which secured them promotion back to the German top flight. He scored within minutes of coming on, set up another later on in the half and was rated as kicker's 2.Bundesliga (joint) highest rated Player of the Week.

We are staying up, say we are staying up!

A few players this week could fall under this category but the one I've chosen is Italian shot stopper Vito Mannone who, despite making an absolute howler in Sunderland's still very good result against Manchester City, was a one man wall as the Black Cats ended Jose Mourinho's unbelievable home run in the Premier League by beating Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Making 14 saves in all, it was one of the best goalkeeping performances of the season.
