Scored 16/23 in Week 7, will take that given there were a couple of odd selections on EA’s part; let’s hope they’ve got their heads back on this week…
No MVP? No problem!
When the three candidates for the 2016 MLS MVP award were announced, there was quite rightfully some murmurings from north of the border. However, what better way to prove that you are in fact MVP material than by taking apart the three finalist’s sides. Two of the three finalists, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Sacha Kljestan took on Montreal Impact and an inspired Ignacio Piatti in the second leg of their MLS Conference semi-final over the weekend. Nacho scored twice against the Red Bulls, who again exit the play-offs at an early stage, ensuring Impact advanced to the Eastern Conference final, where they would face Toronto FC.
Like Impact, Toronto faced a side from the Big Apple; David Villa’s New York City FC. Villa however, the other of the three finalists, was overshadowed by an incredible performance from Italian Sebastian Giovinco. The Atomic Ant ripped NYCFC apart, scoring a hat-trick on the way to a 5-0 demolition of Patrick Vieira’s side.
Enjoy Folks! #PACKPARTY
