Team of the Knockout stage. It’s one of the most exciting promos in my opinion, due to amount of high rated players. A lot of teams performed amazingly well and above all expectations. So. I tried to separate EL and UCL and make them equally good.

Some teams will have a bit more players, some players a bit less. It’s not my fault, it’s player performances.

Let’s start with Roma players. Alisson performed amazingly well for Roma, but with only 1 Clean sheet. He still is one the best performers of this Roma squad and deserves to be in TOTKS.

Dzeko 2 goals against Barcelona and 1 goal and 1 assist vs Shaktar. As always, performs when it matter.

So, if I mentioned Barcelona, let me tell you that there are 2 players that deserve to be in TOTKS:

Messi with total 2 goals and 2 assists vs Chelsea and MOTM performance in a 1st match against Rome.

Pique is one of the few CBs who I should mention, because he scored 1 goal, kept a CS against Chelsea, and overall was impressive until Rome match. I can switch him to Manolas, but Roma did concede a lot, so it’s rather hard to include another defensive player from Roma.

Real Madrid with few players. Ronaldo: 2 goals against Juventus in a first leg, 2 goals vs PSG in 1st match, 1 goal and 1 assist vs PSG in 2nd match. What can I add?

Marcelo is another Madrid player: 2 goals in knockout stages, overall, after Ronaldo, best performer of Real Madrid.

From Juventus I’d probably have either Higuain or Chiellini. Both performed well vs Spurs, but both were kinda bad vs Real Madrid.

Liverpool is the next on my list. Let’s start with Mo Salah: 2 goals and 1 assist vs City, 1 goal vs Porto. Great performance as always. Just wonderful player.

Roberto Fimino is another performer. 2 goals overall, 1 assist vs City. 1 goal vs Porto and just incredible work-rate overall from Brazilian striker.

I can expect Salah to miss out due to POTM and his place should take Mane. With 1 goal vs City, great performance in away leg and 3 goals vs Porto.

And about amazing performances: Trent Alexander-Arnold.

2 amazing performances vs City, 1 MOTM and great away game vs Porto( as a whole Liverpool). Should get his special card.

And let’s talk about the rest of the teams from CL:

Sevilla’s Sergio Escudero should get his TOTKS card. 1 assist vs Bayern and overall really good performances vs United. Only player that stood out for me in Sevilla.

Bayern.. It’s hard. How about Thiago for MOTM against Sevilla and 1 goal against Besiktas.

And possibly Muller for his performances against Besiktas. 2 goals and 2 assists in 2 matches.

So, finished with Champions League, we move on to Europa League.

Let’s start with Atletico Madrid. 2 players that should get it are Antoine Griezmann and Saul Niguez.

Griezmann with 3 goals+ 1 assist and Saul with amazing performances all over matches: 1 goal vs Copenhagen, 2 goals vs Lokomotiv, and high rating vs Sporting.

Bruno Fernades is only Sporting player that probably deserves it: 3 goals and 3 assists in 5 matches should be enough.

Marseille. I nearly forgot about them. Lucas Ocampos with 3 goals, 3 MOTMs and overall amazing play or Dimitri Payet. Dunno who’s more deserving. I’d go with Ocampos.

Red Bull Leipzig is the first Red Bull club in my list.

Timo Werner with 4 goals and 2 assists in 5 matches is the first player from Leipzig.

Peter Gulacsi is the 2nd. He performed really well in all 5 games in EL and really I have no choice other than him.

2nd Red Bull club is Salzburg.

Stefan Lainer is the first and obvious choice. Assist vs Dortmund, 2 assists and MOTMs vs Sociedad and just amazing player in Europa League.

Valon Berisha. The guy performed exceptionally. 2 goals vs Dortmund, 1 goal vs Sociedad, 1 goal vs Lazio. 100% contender.

Now, let’s talk about Lazio. I should include 3 their main players.

Number 1 is Ciro Immobile: 5 goals and 1 asisst in 5 matches. He’s good in Calcio, he’s good in EL, he’s good everywhere.

Felipe Anderson with 3 goals and 2 assists. Why not?

Stefan De Vrij or Lucas Leiva. Both are great, but I need a defender, that’s why I’m including De Vrij with 1 goal and real good performances, even tho they concede a bit of goals. Leiva also deserves it: 1 goal and 1 assist+ 2 MOTMs.

And the last pair, but not least.

At first: CSKA: Only 1 deserving player is Alexandr Golovin. Goal vs Arsenal, MOTM and goal vs Lyon and overall one of the best players in EL.

And about Arsenal: Mesut Ozil is giving his best performances in EL: 2 assists vs Milan, 1 goal vs Oestersunds, 2 assists vs CSKA.

Aaron Ramsey: 2 goals vs CSKA, 1 goal vs Milan, 1 assist vs Milan. Really stepped up his game.

This whole TOTKS looks amazing and I hope it’ll be close to what I’ve predicted.
