Sam, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! I've been on holiday - even the most esteemed and dedicated Team of the Week Predictor needs to take a break every once in a while. But, I'm back, and let's see was TOTW50 has in store for us...

Well, for a start, since my last prediction all of the big leagues have returned and therefore the upcoming TOTWs will become a little bit less, er, awful? Let's kick this week off with two newly transferred Barclays Premier League players; Chelsea's Pedro and Arsenal's Petr Cech. The former put in a MOTM display on his full debut at the Hawthorns, grabbing a goal and an assist, as the Blues overcame a resilient West Brom to win 3-2. As for Arsenal's new acquisition, he's been accused of making a couple of mistakes in recent weeks, however he's clearly put those behind him after a MOTM display against Liverpool on Monday night which included a couple of outstanding saves.

Other standout performances from the major European leagues this week include that of Marseille duo Lassana Diarra and Michy Batshuayi who were both outstanding as they demolished newly promoted Troyes. Sampdoria were another side that have found the goals early on in the season, they beat another newly promoted side Carpi 5-2, and Colombian Luis Muriel was chosen as the MOTM after netting twice. Special mentions to both Udinese and Sporting Gijon as well; both sides managed to keep clean sheets against Juventus and Real Madrid respectively and both are represented in my prediction for their efforts.
