Reasonably happy with scoring 17/23 last week, I am aware others did better though so let's see if we can trump them this week!
You picked a bad week to be a right back
Some of the world's most feared left wingers were on fine form this weekend and none more-so than FC Barcelona's Neymar. About that second goal? That was the type of goal the Brazilian would've scored in his Santos days; he seemed to have become a little more restrained since moving to Europe, however that moment of Zidane and Ronaldinho-esque genius proved otherwise. Another tricky Brazilian winger in fine form was arguably the Bundesliga Player of the Season so far, Bayern Munich's Douglas Costa. He scored one and set up another as Bayern scored a handful at home yet again, this time against VfB Stuttgart. Thomas Muller is another who be in this week's side, however as Douglas Costa was named as 'kicker's' official MOTM, I've opted for him instead. Last but not least, we have Yehven Konoplyanka and his Sevilla side who sunk Real Madrid by three goals to two on Sunday night; the Ukrainian international assisted two of Sevilla's goals and gave Danilo a torrid time throughout.
Derby day!
Is the phrase people all over Europe would've been using to describe last Sunday, well, in different languages perhaps. We had the North London Derby, the Reveirderby, the Derby della Capitale and De Klassieker all in one afternoon! Of course, I tried to find an individual from each of these games to include in my prediction but unfortunately only two players reached the level required this week. The first of those is another left winger, Roma's Gervinho. The Ivorian scored a fantastic goal, latching onto a Radja Nainggolan through ball, who is another who could receive a special item this week, and slotting it past the onrushing Lazio goalkeeper. The second of which comes from the Reveirderby, Borussia Dortmund vs FC Schalke. The official Man of the Match went to Schalke goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann, but he was on the losing side, therefore I've opted for a Dortmund player instead and the standout candidate was young Matthias Ginter. The centre-back turned right-back had a great game offensively, scoring one goal and teeing up another as BVB recorded a 3-2 victory.
Enjoy folks! #PACKPARTY
