Only 22 days to go until FUT goes bloody mental for BLUE! Here is the second part of my FIFPro 2014 Team of the Year Prediction.

FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala: Monday 12th January 2015

This TOTY prediction is going to be released in stages and my opinion as to who I think the back five will be was posted a few days ago; link to that will be at the bottom of this article! Today we'll be choosing our 3 midfielders, before moving onto the forwards in the final article on Christmas eve. Individual and team achievements for both club and country and statistics have been considered when selecting these players, as well as my personal opinion.

Enjoy folks, remember to let us know what you think of my choices in the comments!

CM: Toni Kroos (Bayern Munich/Real Madrid/Germany) - The German dominance of this Team of the Year continues, and who can say they don't deserve it? Didn't have an immaculate 2013/14 at Bayern Munich by any means, yet he was still a fairly regular starter in a side that walked to the Bundesliga title. He moved to Real Madrid in the summer and already is a key part of arguably one of the most talented teams of all time. Oh, he also had a brilliant World Cup too, being named in both the All-Star Team and Dream Team. FUT Hybrid makers are hopefully salivating over this card.

CM: Luka Modric (Real Madrid/Croatia) - Was a toss up between this chap and Bastian Schweinsteiger, but I've opted for Modric simply because Bastian has missed too many games through injury in my opinion. By my vague and very quick calculations, he has played 33 and missed 27 - not good enough. Luka Modric however had an outstanding end to the 2013/14 season and was a key part of Real's Champions League winning side. May have had a slightly disappointing World Cup and he may currently be out with a hamstring injury, however I feel Luka has just about done enough, and is also popular enough, to make it into the TOTY.

CAM: Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid/Manchester United/Argentina) - Real Madrid's engine throughout the 2013/14 campaign, drove them to the Champions League and tried his utmost in La Liga too; one of the players of the season. Was having a decent World Cup too, that is up until an injury sustained against Belgium ruled him out of the semi-final and the final itself. Since his move to Manchester United he's been one of the standout players in the Premier League this year too, scoring three goals and creating six assists in just 12 appearances.

Other possibilities: Iniesta (Barcelona/Spain), James Rodriguez (AS Monaco/Real Madrid/Colombia), Yaya Toure (Manchester City/Ivory Coast)
