Building a Gaming PC for FIFA

EA SPORTS' IGNITE engine is gracing FIFA on PC for the first time, so why not build a monster of a PC to run it in all its glory? FIFA 15 running at 1440p @ 144Hz? Yes please!

Those who follow us on Twitter will know that I've been wanting to build a new PC for some time, not only to play FIFA 15 at its highest settings at 1440p but also to stream to our Twitch channel and edit videos for our YouTube channel.

To be honest as I haven't built a PC for a few years I need a bit of help, so I got talking to the awesome Harry at Corsair who offered to help me with the build! First things first I needed to choose a case, something that was portable enough to take to events but also capable of housing and cooling powerful components. It didn't take long to settle on the Corsair Carbide Series Air 240 in white, it's small yet will cope fine with the two GeForce GTX 980 graphics cards that are going in! Naturally we'll be going for a white and green build, thankfully Corsair offer some excellent customization when it comes to fans and cables so all we need to do now is get on with the build.

The Air 240 Case

A step by step build log with photos will follow once the machine is built, seriously excited about it as the spec list looks insane!

Would also like to shout out Overclockers UK as one of the GTX 980 Graphics Cards failed days before the build date, they arranged for collection, tested and sent out a new card all in a couple of days.
